Cordoba Mini II MH Nylon String Acoustic Guitar - Mahogany Reviews
If you've been wanting to get into classical guitar but have been put off by the playability, Sweetwater suggests checking out the Cordoba Mini II. It's a nylon-string acoustic with a smaller body size, fingerboard width, and scale length that's perfect for younger or petite players and also electric guitarists seeking an affordable and accessible classical guitar. Its smaller dimensions also make the Mini II ideal for air travel and weekend getaways. But make no mistake: the Cordoba Mini II is a legit instrument that just happens to be small!

Joyful Granddaughter
This is the perfect gift for my 6 year-old granddaughter to learn how to play the guitar. A quality instrument that will last for years of her lessons and play.
Cordoba Mini IIMH
I love, love , love this guitar! harp like tones and just the right parlor size for me! My frozen shoulder has kept me from practicing on my full size instrument so this is such a joy for finger picking and arpeggio! Thank you for great product fulfillment, quick, well packaged and overall satisfaction! I will recommend you to everyone!
For the price, this is a gem!
Frets were not sharp and the intonation in E-E tuning was perfect.
Good sound for price
Great little guitar for strumming and quick jam sessions. Sounds solid for the price! Shipping was fast!
Amazing
Such a beautiful instrument for the price and excellent quality sound for nylon strings. Very easy to play and I highly recommend this product!! Shipped in perfect condition, no breaks or any wear at all.
Great Travel Guitar
I am delighted with this travel guitar. While it isn't as good as my regular guitar it is good enough. If my choice is to not have a guitar along because it takes up too much room or having this smaller version, I choose this smaller version. The fingerboard is smaller and obviously the body is smaller, but it didn't take long to adjust. The price was certainly reasonable. I would recommend this to anyone who longs to take their guitar on vacation with them, but just doesn't have the room...or doesn't want to risk damaging your more expensive instrument on the trip. For size comparison, below is a picture of the Cordoba Mini II on the left with my regular Yamaha classical guitar on the right.
The guitar came very quickly and double boxed with padding etc. Their customer service is fantastic. 5 Stars! Thank you.

Exceded my expectations
I just wanted a small guitar for my 4yo child to start learning. I ended up having a lot of fun playing this guitar while the kid is at school! The sound is amazing, the fret ends are smooth, the action is good for a nylon guitar, the strings are very well put and it holds everything in tune.
Now it's the kid's new guitar and daddy's travel guitar for sure!
Big fan
I receive weekly compliments on my Mini's tone, by folks who are much more tone obsessed than I am. It's comfortable and easy to play, and is remarkably durable (my kids play it sometimes).
The only regret I have is not paying extra for onboard electronics. Looks like I'll be buying another soon.
TV guitar
I use it to practice arpeggios while watching TV. Tuning up to F# feels good.
Great for travel and kids
Great tone and playability for an unbeatable price. I can't wait to pass this down to my son when he's old enough to start playing, and after I get a couple years out of it first. I had tried several short scale guitars, including the Ibanez Piccolo, the guitarlele, and others, and this has been my favorite so far. It's surprisingly loud, and for the size, the tone is excellent. Another great piece by Córdoba.
Cordoba mini II
It's a beautiful travel guitar that can tune to standard. I really wanted the flamed mahogany version but I decided to go with the cheapest version. Tone is lacking slightly compared to bigger full size guitars but that's almost unfair to pick on for the price and quality of the instrument. Cordoba really did a nice job with this series. I love playing jazz/ classical and bossa Nova arrangements on the go now. Plus it's hard to beat the service Sweetwater offers compared to other guitar retailers. You really can't go wrong. I know i'll be coming back for more gear
NIce little travel guitar at a fantastic price
It won't, and can't, sound as good as my solid body Cordoba, but then again, it cost five times less! I was looking for travel size so I wouldn't miss any practicing. I wanted a price that would not panic me, if it experienced bumps and bruises on a trip. The laminate body would also protect it from most temperature changes. Along with the Cordoba half size case, I won't miss a day of practice.
The sound is pretty good too. I think I should keep it in another part of the house, away from my practice room. Then when the mood hits, I've got a spare instrument.
Though I'm an senior adult learner, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this guitar for a child either
A lot of sound on a little package
I'm very impressed with the sound of this "little" guitar, is fun to play!
Nice!
Awesome little instrument. My students love it!
Cordoba Mini II MHG
I bought this for travel mostly but am enjoying it more than expected, even in this cheapest and plainest version. The cheap price and laminated top, back and sides take away a lot of the worry of traveling with an instrument or changes in humidity with winter heating.
The 1-7/8 nut width is easier for my medium sized men's hands than the 2" width on the Mini I and classical guitars.
This is an excellent guitar for ukulele players looking to try an economical guitar.
And thanks to Sweetwater for a good setup - it played nicely right out of the box.
Very pleasant surprise
Got the Mini II Mahogany today and was really happy with the sound out of this guitar. I got it to hopefully encourage the grandsons' ( 5 & 8) interest in taking up the guitar. After playing it, I may have to get another one for me. Would make a great travel guitar. I have a Taylor 514ce-N and a 314ce-N, plus another 50 year old classical from Mexico. The tone on the Mini II is really nice and a very pleasant surprise considering the cost. The fit and finish is very nice. As always the service from Sweetwater is top notch.
Cordoba defective
I ordered this guitar and it was shipped in a very timely manner, thank you. However, when I received it and began to play it, I discovered that the ends of the frets were unfinishted...that is, they were sharp and scraping my fingers. I called and a replacement was ordered. It shipped quickly..thank you again.
I would like to rate the service that I got from Sweetwater at a 5.0, but I cannot because I receive a defective product. I realize that this is an inexpensive guitar, but I still would expect it to be in excellent condition.
The service that I received from you was outstanding. Replacement was shipped the same day I called, and I sent back the original with the provided return shipping label.
Even though the original guitar had this defect, I would still purchase from Sweetwater again, and even recommend you to others. I just wished that the defect was identified at your facility, before it shipped to me.
Great size for MINI but Poor Sound
Comfortable small body size great. But it is a Laminated mahogany top with fan bracing. The NuBone nut, 1.875" wide for me, I don't have small but neither big finger. So, I feel uncomfortable plying with this Nut and sound really poor.
