Out-of-round shells. Where is the quality control at Ludwig?

A bass drum that is ¼" out-of-round should never leave the factory. A floor tom that is 1/8" out-of-round should never leave the factory. The 12" tom and snare drum were both 1/16" out-of-round. Please see the attached video of how the wobbly the head sat on the bass drum, and the attempt to slide the head in either direction. That didn't work well. How do drum shells that were recently manufactured get so out-of-round?

If that wasn't bad enough, the gaskets on all of the drums (except the snare drum) were gross. They looked like they had been laying around the shop for a couple of years and were covered with a slimy substance and what appears to be saw dust or plastic dust. The substance was not easy to clean off (see video).

There's no excuse for this type of sloppy workmanship.

The kit looks good, and the Atlas Arch Rail Mount Tom Holder is nice, but I am extremely disappointed in Ludwig and their non-existent quality control.
