So much more than an amp sim
I got this as a freebie along with another Waves purchase. I initially wrote it off as being free for a reason, but I was completely wrong. Firstly, as an amp sim, it's incredible. I've owned a ton of the most popular amp sims, and I do believe this is my favorite of them all. It just hits all the "good" tone variations, and never sounds bad. Clean, Crunch, and Heavy deliver exactly what you expect. Tones are equally awesome on an SG or a Strat. This isn't always the case with a lot of amp sims. The real unexpected fun comes in using this plugin on Bypass mode over real mic'd guitar cab recordings. Great way to shape the tone after the fact, and add effects tailored specifically for guitars. I didn't realize at first this was also incredible effective on acoustic guitar tracks. Try some of the acoustic presets and tweak from there. This plugin is a bargain even at full price. Highly recommended for a DI Amp Sim, Guitar signal chain for already recorded guitars, or for kicking your acoustic tracks up a notch.

This is basically The Edge in a box. I can not tell you how much fun I had with it tonight. Also, sounds very good, super intuitive interface.
Great Plug-In
Bought this today and I've been on my guitar for about five hours now going through the Acoustic, Electric and Reamper presets. A lot of fun, but this plug-in is definitely geared toward engineering great sounds in the mix. I've been really happy with the last two engineering Waves plug-ins I've purchased. There are some really great sounds here that provide a really nice color and punch to a guitar in the mix.
