Great Plugins
I've was taught to use the standard comps that come with the DAWs. But, once you use these and learn how to set them, they make the job much easier and sound better, too.
NIce Compressors!
Waves compressor plug-ins were highly recommended to me so I went ahead and got them. So far I have only used them on vocals but they work great. Looking forward to seeing how they do on other instruments!
Waves CLA just as Good as UAD
I've used UAD for over 3 years now and was skeptical about these at first. Honestly they match up pound for pound. I was pleasantly surprised. I used to work mainly on a Mac Pro with UAD Twin Cards installed and was happy with that. But now that I need to be mobile and have a MacBook Pro, this really helps me get that amazing sound that I thought was only possible with UAD. Plus these are always on sale and super easy to download and install. Happy mixing!

These compressors sound great and work flawlessly with Logic. I love the CLA 76 Blue stripe. Its my favorite of the bunch. I use it on vocals, snare drum and guitars. The CLA 3A is great on Bass and the 2A gives you the classic 60's compression. You will have a great time using The CLA plugins.
Two words... Essential.
The essential compressors used for decades that you simply can't live without.
Put the 1176 on anything that has fast attacks like snare and kicks drums. Works awesome on guitar busses and even the master mix.
Black faced for normal and blue faced for a shinier top end.
Put the tube LA-2A and FET LA-3A on things more drawn out, like vocals, bass guitars and synths.
The 2A and 3A both excel at compressing the pooh out of tracks without it being noticeable. It's normal whole compressing vocals to see the VU meter riding about 3/4 back but, it simply sounds smooth as glass.
Use the FET LA-3A for that smooth compression but, with a shinier top end.

After demoing several Waves plugins, I had to buy these. I was lucky to get them on sale. I love the LA2A emulation.
They Sound Amazing
This compressors were released a bit more than 6 years ago, if i'm not mistaken! but up to this date this compressors are used all over the mix by in the box mixers!
So i made the jump and bought this bundle.
I have to say. I've should've done that a long time ago! .
they don't just sound great and compressor stuff beautifully but they are musical.
you will find that they do something to the mix that makes it more cohesive and warm.
above all, What stroked me about this processors is the fast that they are fast to used and give you immediate results with little time and effort!
CLA-76 creates punch and warm and edge
CLA-2A rounds things in a warm coupe with soft compression and silky sound
CLA-3A is my absolute favorite to fat things up and to create thickness and snap!
Waves CLA bundle
Great compressors. I am still learning this recording stuff but this made the Vox and Bass sound like I want them to. Been struggling with stock compressors and now I got what I need.
