Perfect
Getting a good bass guitar tone that sits properly in the mix has always been one of the most difficult parts of the recording process for me. I"ve spent countless hours working with compression and EQ but nothing has sounded better than what I achieved using this simple plugin. Not sure how Waves has done it but this is one of best and most affordable ways of getting a great bass sound with very little effort. Highly recommended.

This is a great way to get a good sound, quickly. Depending on your preferences and the music you're playing on, sure, a few tweaks may be needed, but this is very intuitive and nothing will set you back much time. I bought it bundled with the CLA guitars, vocals, drums and effects plugins and it's served me well already. Had a couple sessions that required guitars and quick vocal mixes. This got me there so much quicker, and a few minor tweaks and we were good to go.
Add that to the fantastic service at Sweetwater and ya got a winner. Big ups to Kevin Samuel!
Great great great bass plug in!
I own the Kramer plugin as well as the JJP plugin, which both have served me well. I am now using the Waves CLA Bass on all my recordings, specifically the "Clean Shake" preset which gives me the precise tone I'm looking for with a the tiniest amount of tweaking of the onboard parameters. I love Waves' products and I am always on the look out for new products by them

Hey I'm loving the cla bass plug in does wonders for me. And I really didn't need it to be honest but I'm very happy I purchased it I'm ion here jamming to baselines I created last year. Thanks Sweetwater for all your knowledge and products.
Upgrade?
I purchased it for $29 hoping to use it right away installed everything correctly. Didn"t show up on my DAW and did a quick search. Apparently Waves says that I need to upgrade to the CLA bundle for an extra $49. It didn"t say that on the sweetwater product page. I can"t be spending money just like that, waves or sweetwater should have updated the price for this one plugin. Waste of $29. Gotta find something else that actually works right away.
