Stereo Studio Reference Amplifier with 360W/Channel (8 ohms) and Convection-cooled Chassis

Need a high-output, high-resolution amplifier for your passive studio monitors? Sweetwater has just what you're looking for! The Avantone Pro CLA-400 Studio Reference Amplifier was designed to be paired with passive monitors that require a huge dynamic range and ground-shaking power. Very low distortion, reliable performance under heavy professional use, and a transparent, open sound make the CLA-400 a solid choice for passive nearfield monitoring in discerning studios requiring high power output with no fan noise. The conservatively rated CLA-400 delivers over 360 watts into 8 ohms and can run at one-third power without thermal fault.

The Avantone CLA 400 watt a Winner!

By Andyman from Sedona, AZ
Music Background: Guitar Player and Recording Enthusiast.

At first I thought the Avantone 400 watt may be more power than I needed for my small home studio. However, it is perfect. Extremely quiet with NO FAN noise. Finally I"ve found Avantone CLA 400 watt power ampm is the perfect amount of power. I use it for my PA, Studio Monitors and best of all for my Fender Tone Master Pro. The Avantone 400 watt is so quiet and provides the best sound and tone quality for my TMP guitar presets. Highly recommend stepping up to the Avantone CL 400 watt. Andyman

Strong and Silent

By Daniel R. from AudioEmissary Studio

I've had my CL 400 for three months now running it with a pair of B&W 602s, series 2.
This beast has plenty of power and is very complementary to these speakers. Quite colorless and loads of power runs cool and if the meters are moving you're definitely rocking out I give it a thumbs up. I am using it in a 20 x 20 control room.
Just for reference, I've been an audio engineer for around 40 years now and the amp that it replaced was a 1978 Carver/phase linear 700.
I've got to say it was a worthy replacement. Not many true Studio amplifiers around these days. This is a nice exception.
Pictured below CL 400 is front center end on the floor is a CL 200 which is doing a nice job with my Wharfdales!
