Avantone Pro CK-7 Plus Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone Reviews
If you like Avantone's CK-7, you'll love the CK-7+. It upstages its predecessor with a larger 34mm gold-sputtered Mylar capsule. Inside the CK-7+'s precision-machined brass housing, you'll find discreet transformerless Class A FET circuitry, along with high-grade polystyrene and metalized polypropylene capacitors. Put this versatile condenser in front of any source, and you'll experience airy, open highs and rock-solid lows. Three polar patterns, a -10dB pad, and an 80Hz highpass filter only add to this mic's incredible flexibility. Complete with a custom retro shockmount, wood storage box, and aluminum travel case, the CK-7+ gives you modded performance in an off-the-shelf condenser microphone.

Detailed work horse
This is the best large diaphragm condenser you can get on a budget. It's wonderful for vocals, fantastic on acoustic instruments and legendary on guitar cabinets. Nothing "cheap" about it. Just affordable!
Decent Home Recording Mic
I'm on my 3rd Ck7 and I have liked all of them. Good multi purpose home recording mic. The case left a bit to be desired but the mic was good
I'm embarrassed to have purchased this.
"It's not right for me" is an inappropriate way to describe this mic. It's a cheap Chinese knock-off of a nicer circuit. If I had done more research I would've caught this but suffice it to say that these mics should not exist. Avantone is crap. The sound is thin and tinny, no warmth. I realized there is no such thing as a "good" cheap condenser. I saved up some more money and got an AKG 414.
