Got this one for Christmas and the quality and sound are great. Nate McClure thanks for your help and checking in on occasion. I only live a couple hundred miles from Sweetwater so most of my orders arrive within two days. The guitar sounds great through my Yamaha THR and Boss Katana.
Beautiful guitar!
Just got this guitar today! What a beautiful guitar! Looks great and sounds great! I play acoustic guitar most of the time. Been playing around 40 years. I have 2 Taylors, a Guild, and Breedlove, but wanted a guitar with a unique look! Sweetwaters customer service is 5 star!! Very polite, answers any questions and helpful! They give you updates on the delivery and follow up after its delivered! I'm not used to good service like that, especially in todays world!
A Lot of Guitar for the Money!
My first Ovation was an American made 1973 Balladeer. The playability and sound of that guitar was superb. This Made in China Ovation Guitar is every bit as good if not better. Great value on an excellent guitar!
Amazing Guitar
It's now 5 and a half months since I purchased this amazing sounding guitar. Playability is so comfortable and so easy to play as I am a complete Newby. I have learned so much and the mote I learn the more amazing it sounds. Amped it up for the first time in August a d WOW was memorized by the crystal clear sound. We just purchased my wife the Celebrity celebrity standard plus with the medium bow,can't wait for that beauty to arrive next week. I highly recommend this guitar.

This is my favorite guitar. It plays and sounds great. It sounds best plugged in. I play it through a Boss Katana 100. The neck is smooth and fits my hand perfectly.
This is my second Ovation super shallow guitar. The first one had a passive pickup and a regular soundhole. It had more bass response, but this one sounds better overall.
I have been playing this guitar for several months and it continues to sound better and better. It is also beautiful to look at.
My only knock is that it seems to go through batteries quicker than I would like. I change batteries as soon they drop below 9 volts. I can tell the difference in sound.
Best Acoustic I’ve Played
This is a phenomenal guitar.....Sweetwater is an excellent company.....and Mike Conyers is a rock'n sales rep.
I was reluctant to purchase an acoustic guitar via the internet considering that I couldn't play it before purchasing but I decided to roll the dice and I wasn't disappointed. This is the best acoustic that I've ever played. I only wish now that I had paid a little extra and had Sweetwater perform some of the additional tweaks that were available for this guitar. But nevertheless, it's an awesome guitar even as it comes stock. This is the only acoustic that I've ever played that plays almost like a solid body guitar. It has a very fast neck and has a tone like no other. It sounds like an Ovation which, as most guitar people know, is a sound all to itself.

for a long time i,v been wanting to try an ovation guitar. after a long search on sweetwaters site , looking for an accoustic, i decided on this celebrity super shallow accoustic. well let me tell you it,s a beautiful guitar, and has a great sound, as good as you could ask for, good volume clear highs and lows , easy to play, i think i,ll keep it ! sweetwater got it to me in two days, in perfect condition. thank you!!!!!

I love it! It sounds great. I received a call about 2 hours after I order it to tell me it is on the way. I received it in great condition. It is beautiful. The only negative was that the battery was low and I had to change it out (no big deal). It looks great, plays great, and sounds great. Thank you all at Sweet Water.

2 week review
I was so happy to get one of these iconic guitars. I have NEVER purchased a guitar without playing it first, and selecting the one I like. I took a chance and ordered this CE48 from SW. The guitar arrived exactly as stated. It was carefully packed, in perfect condition, and by chance the sunburst was more gold than orange. I loved that. The guitar was in perfect tune as delivered. Wow. I have messed around with it for two weeks now, and have to say I love it. The super shallow body does not roll out when played standing. The electronics seem good. Wish I could use phantom power for p/u. Consider that when buying. Some models do. The fit and finish of this foreign made piece is beautiful. The case is good quality and fits well. I believe someone is overseeing quality control who cares. Time will tell. I will set a reminder to review this again after playing live and loud with the band.
