Beautiful guitar
I fell in love with this guitar in record time. Very well made and a beautiful looking instrument. The tone is more "chime like", similar to a 12 string acoustic. My Ovation has gone to the top of the list of my favorite guitars.

I was looking for an acoustic electric guitar. I wanted an Ovation. I shopped around and found exactly what I wanted at Sweetwater. Being a drummer for more than 25 years, I've always wanted to play the guitar, but never found enough space and time to sit, study and learn it. This is a beautiful piece, and it's going to bring me many years of enjoyment learning to play the music I love, and played on my drums. Thanks Will, for all your help.
Very Satisfied
I have been in the market for a quality and affordable acoustic guitar for quite some time. I unboxed this guitar this morning and I can't say how happy I am. When you pick up a new guitar you just know by the feel whether or not it's right for you, and for me, this one most definitely is. It feels perfect, it plays wonderful, and the tone is amazing. For the money you really can't go wrong with this guitar. I may add more to this review in the future as I explore it more and actually plug it in. This really is a good guitar.
My New Go To...
You'll never talk me out of my Seagull S12, or any of my others. This Ovation CE44LX-1R-G may not have big sound without plugging in. but it does have a well rounded tone across the strings that . It's always in tune, rugged, and it gets a lot of attention. In addition, there have been many well known singer/songwriters play Ovation guitars. (note: those people don't play an instrument just because of endorsements or freebees)
I did dial it in to my own liking. (who doesn't?) And the bridge is shimmed for easy adjustment. It's not a higher end American made version, but I'm not Glen Campbell or Al DiMeola either. But this guitar still has enough quality and craftsmanship to be well satisfied.
This one sets near by and is the first one I grab when its time to play, or just pick around. I always get my Ovation. ;)
