Great for gigging

By Paul Pfaffenberger from Gilbert, AZ on April 15, 2024

This thing is easy to play, sounds great plugged in, and looks amazing. I have more expensive guitars, and always come back to this one. Rosewood, cedar, koa, blah blah blah. The plastic guitar beats them all for playing out. It stays in tune and doesn't mind being bumped into.

Husband Loves it!

By Kathi Roman from Columbia City IN on October 17, 2023 Music Background: Wife of musician…HA!

Bought sight unseen for my husband for his birthday. He absolutely loves it, very lightweight to handle/ carry and has a great sound. Several of his friends have picked it up to play and said how much they absolutely love this guitar.

Sweetwater Rocks

By Steve from Garland, TX on July 12, 2020 Music Background: Novice--aiming to get to intermediate

I purchased this on a Monday afternoon and had it setup and still got it on a Sunday--The setup is perfect for me--low action; GREAT intonation and NO FRET BUZZ. Bob Mondok is my sales engineer and he kept me in the loop the entire time. When Bob is not available--he has a GREAT Team that are as thorough and professional as he is. It took me awhile to finally pull the trigger on buying a Ovation--it will never top my Taylor koa; but this Ovation is AWESOME and will allow me to keep my Taylor in the case more and out of HARMS WAY. If U want a middle range guitar; U should really consider this Ovation and have Sweetwater do their PROFESSIONAL SETUP.

Yes.

People can talk crap all they want about this guitar. But play one for a month and you'll be completely blown away. Easy chorded, smooth changes, and you can run scales on it like an electric. By far one of my favorite guitars ever.... Taylor, Dean, Martin..included.

Ovation Review

By Merle Hawthorne on May 1, 2016

This Ovation is exceeded my expectations! It's beautiful with a great Ovation sound and I play it all the time.

Exceeded My Expectations!

By CLarsen on April 30, 2015 Music Background: 35 years of playing for fun.

I had played a few of these in stores several months ago, so I knew I liked the feel and sound. I had not seen a black one other than photos, but I took a chance and went with it. It looks SO good in person!! I love everything about it!!
Now, customer service: This was my first experience with Sweetwater. Ken Davis went above and beyond in making sure I was well taken care of. I will be making many more purchases from Sweetwater down the road. I thought customer service was dead... thanks for proving me wrong!

Scratchy frets

By Sweetwater Customer on March 10, 2020

Scratchy frets first I love the guitar sounds great low action but there is a rubbing scratching sound when using vibrato I don't know if this is poor strings or just threats that weren't polished enough guitar was made in China other than that Highly Recommend

Good for playing, needs a new pickup

By Robert from Lakewood, WA on November 17, 2022

Recording this thing sounds no different than an electric. The whole point of buying an acoustic with a pickup is to capture the richness. And maybe that's my bad for imagining I'd get decent quality for this price. Had my Takamine not been damaged, I wouldn't have been looking for a replacement. As it stands, I'll get rid of this as soon as I'm done with my project. And I'll be micing the thing since the pickup is not great.

It was so nice talking to you and I am sure happy to kindly find my husband s gutiar

By Karenohler from Pennsylvania on May 16, 2019 Music Background: Country since I was a little girl
