PRS SE CE24 Electric Guitar - Black Cherry Reviews
PRS’s SE CE24 merges the Custom 24 series’ elegant tonewoods and iconic aesthetics with a snappy bolt-on-neck design. This guitar’s maple-veneer-topped mahogany body epitomizes the company’s tonal dedication to singing sustain, exceptional clarity, and vintage-style warmth, harkening back to the golden age of solidbody guitar building. However, instead of the standard mahogany set-neck found on the majority of PRS instruments, this guitar sports a sturdy maple Wide Thin neck with a rosewood fingerboard. This combination provides a crisp, sharp attack and immaculately defined trebles, complementing the natural warmth and richness of the 85/15 “S” humbuckers. The SE CE24 finishes it all off with rock-solid PRS-designed tuners and a PRTS Patented Tremolo for expressive bends and flutters. Whether it's your first PRS or your fifth, the PRS SE CE24 is destined to become your next #1 axe!

PRS SE CE24
I have put about 40 hours of playing time on my beautiful black Cherry CE24 and i couldnt be more satisfied. It plays wonderfully smooth and so many tones it is unreal. Once i removed the PRS strings and put on some Ernie Ball Super Slinkys which ate my string of choice i could not be more happy! Thanks PRS and Sweetwater!
Sweetwater service
All I have to say is Sweetwater is the best musical instrument dealer out there. The Prs Guitar I received was fast and I received exactly what I had ordered without the worry of me receiving it damaged or missing parts.I felt like a kid receiving a Christmas gift. Rock on !!!
Amazing quality for the price
This is my first PRS after decades of Gibsons and Fenders. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable the body contouring is compared to my Les Pauls, 335s, Teles and Strats. It's a very comfortable guitar to hold and play. And the neck is fantastic - aside from the somewhat odd profile and width, which takes a bit of playing to get used to. I've never experienced that before. I can switch between my Fenders and Gibsons and even my Taylors and not miss a beat. But this PRS neck shape is an outlier. That said, it plays great after I re-acquaint myself with it each time. The tones are fantastic too with the coil-split option, and I'm always tweaking the tone knob because it has such a nice range of usable sounds. The fit and finish are great too - right up there with any of my much more expensive guitars and definitely much better than my one Squire (a cheapo Tele). Very happy with this guitar. And the transparent red finish on the maple veneer is beautiful! I bought it because the body shape and finish reminded me of my first "nice" guitar - a Hamer from the late 80's. All in all, very happy with this purchase!!!
