Schecter California Classic Solidbody Electric Guitar - Trans Sky Burst Reviews
If you’re familiar with the high-class design and tonal definition of Schecter’s selection of guitars, you’ll find no surprises within the California Classic. A lightweigh ash body sets this axe over the top into the arms of stage performers, studio musicians, and hobbyists alike. Meanwhile, the solid maple top and eye-catching veneer entrap the eyes. In terms of tone, there’s virtually no sound that this guitar can’t replicate. HSS-configured Schecter USA Monster Tone single-coils and a USA humbucker provide the essential ingredients to forming balanced, versatile tone. And when you factor in the push-pull volume and tone knobs, you can dial in the perfect sound in seconds. If appearance is your thing, there’s no need to worry. The guitar has eye-catching hardware, a 2-point tremolo tailpiece, a brilliant quilted maple veneer, and mother of pearl inlays, this guitar looks just as outstanding as it sounds.

This Was The Guitar I Needed
I play a large array of live gigs and recording sessions. I'm playing Jazz gigs on a Tuesday night and country gigs at bars in the middle of the week while hitting rock and metal shows on the weekends, and I can comfortably take this guitar as my only guitar to any of those. It did take me awhile to get used to the shallow neck profile and the low action being that before this my main was a Strat, but after a month it fit like a glove! I haven't found a tone I don't like with this yet and there are so many different sounds you can get between the pick ups, coil tap, and tone knob. Schecter absolutely nailed it with this guitar, if you play a wide range of genres and are looking for a nice higher end guitar that can confidentially not just fit in, but take charge in any style you are playing, this is the guitar you want! And also yes, it is even more beautiful in person... somehow!
Amazing
The sound of this guitar is just amazing. Even when switching between pickups, no volume is lost. The tone is rich and full. The heftiness of the guitar give it a warm tone and just sounds amazing. Definitely plays like no other I have and worth buying.
Crazy good
I purchased this guitar last spring.
The set up out of the box was the best of the 30 plus guitars I own.
The front pickup gives me the sweet creamy sounds I crave!
The back pickup gives a very sharp sound that cuts through the mix like a knife through warm butter!
Dave Saul (THE ELECTRIC DUDES BAND)
Love this Guitar> I have many high end guitars; considered Schecter; tried a low end model at the Store which was nice but not what I wanted. So then I called Schecter to learn more. to me it was between THIS and another Guitar. So then I called Dennis at Sweetwater; he had a strong opinion and ; he was RIGHT (as usual LOL!!) The guitar plays and sounds great. Very Happy I purchased it!!
Upper Echelon S Type
There are no negatives with this beautiful Super-Strat. The neck & fretwork are impeccable, comfortable & silky. Beautiful aesthetically. The cherry on top of this S is the astonishing versatility of the switching & pickups. Everything is "level" output wise, irregardless of where the 5 way is or which push pulls are where. The tremelo is as stable as my G&L dual fulcrum's - I've really stressed it. This is the best Schecter I've ever played (& I have very positive feelings regarding my Schecters). I'm grateful to own such an instrument. Feels like the guitar version of a Bugatti Veyron!
