Pretty handy little gadget
I have used this clamped to a music stand and, it works very well. Saves having to drag another stand for the violin. Great idea, wished I'd thought of it. It will also work for a mandolin also.
Most Excellent Violin Hanger
The picture is not accurate. The bracket that fits onto the stand is metal but there is no "slot". It is simply a U shaped bracket with 1.5 cm (3/4") distance between the legs. Plenty of room to fit over a bevelled stand. Based on the picture, I was worried about the slot being too narrow, but there is no cause for worry. Plenty of room. Also, very conveniently, the screw for tightening the bracket has a plastic cap so that you can't accidentally unscrew it all the way and lose it. This bracket is awesome and will allow me to switch quickly and safely between violin and viola. Just what I needed. Thanks for great product, great delivery and great service/people. A real pleasure to do business with. Would recommend to anyone.
