The Jackson Chris Broderick Soloist 7 solidbody electric guitar serves up bone crunching tone, courtesy of two direct-mounted DiMarizios. Designed in collaboration with Jackson Custom Shop Master Builder Mike Shannon, this is the Megadeth axeman's take on the venerable Soloist, complete with an offset arch-top mahogany body and maple top. You get buttery playability from a quartersawn maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard, while a recessed Floyd Rose Pro serves up the vibe. This guitar looks amazing — curvaceous in all the right places, and with a downright dangerous-looking headstock. If it's a superb 7-string metal machine you want, the Jackson Chris Broderick Soloist 7 is it.

Simply Phenomenal! Fit, finish, playability, attention to detail. Jackson's Custom Shop is exceptional. Sure it's costly but a USA, hand crafted dream machine of a guitar is worth it.
The neck profile is ultra comfortable, quartersawn maple neck, ebony fretboard, stainless steel frets, and a12" radius let you glide with the ultimate freedom.
Dimarzio D' Activator pups direct mounted are the real deal. Powerful, dynamic and can be as subtle or as brutal as you wish. The tonal palette ranges from a darker, heavy growl to a biting, cut through onslaught in a world all it's own.
Mahogany body, quilt maple top with undoubted heft, but contoured and comfortable to play.
Recessed Floyd Rose, Kill Switch, coil taps, Planet Waves Autotrim tuners straplocks and comes in a USA made G&G custom case.
This is a superb guitar and well worth the investment. The age old rule, you get what you pay for is true. Should you have the chance to own a piece of history, this is it. I special ordered mine and it will take some time so don't stress, these are hand built one at a time, not mass produced.

Jackson Chris Broderick signature 7 string
This is one unique guitar.. Killer Curves, and super comfortible to play. The neck is thin, The cutaway is more than adequate, and the 12" radius makes chords and sweeps so easy. The dimarzio pickups, while not the highest output, are very universal.. One pull of the volume knob splits the coils to deliver the most beautifull cleans. The perfect ballance of this instrument will help you to ignore the fact that it weighs several tons. The Floyd Rose pro seven string bridge also helps make this one of the easiest seven strings to play. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is its 25.5" scale. With the action set in a comfortable position, the low B gets a little buzzy due to the lack of string tension caused by the short scale. In my opinion, it should have been done in a 26.5 scale.
