The AKG C 520 L headworn condenser microphone makes an ideal stage mic for singing keyboardists, drummers, guitarists, and other performers. The C 520 L uses a cardioid condenser mic that's both resistant to outside sound sources and very natural sounding for great performance. Its transducer shockmount keeps handling noise to a minimum, and a moisture shield prevents perspiration from getting inside. You can place the mic arm on either the left or right side, depending on your preference. Designed for use with the B 29 L battery power supply, AKG WMS series transmitters, or the MPA V L adapter, the C 520 L lets you take the stage with confidence.

I've been a Worship leader for 30 years. I've been using the ATM 73 for over 15 years and it has served me well. But, I wanted to move to a wireless setup. I decided to give the AKG 520 a try. I'm blown away. So much more responsive. Much better sound quality.
Wonderful Mic
I got this mic because I had researched Rascal Flatts to see what they use (C 520). I wanted a headset mic that fits securely, sounds great, and looks awesome.
Straight out of the box I noticed it was smaller than I had expected and it took a little playing with it to get it to fit right, but by about the third time of putting it on, it is incredibly secure and doesn't wiggle around or anything. The sound is great however I have had a little shielding problems with my in ear monitor cable but I'm getting that figured out.
I am looking to get another one pretty soon because I absolutely love this mic.
