Outstanding guitar
Honestly, one of the best quality built guitars I've ever purchased. I've been playing for 30+ years and I don't think I could be any happier with this beauty. Locking tuners, split coil function, playability and OH MY the looks!! I waited too long to get one but I'm grateful now to have it. Schecter really hit it out of the park on this one.
I cannot recommend this enough
An absolutely incredible deal on an incredible guitar. It has exactly the specs I'm looking for in every way. Wilkinson tremolo is fantastic and gives you dive bomb capability without Floyd hassle. Top is gorgeous… neck is perfect. Love the look of the inlays and the pickups look great and sound even better. I'm going to buy another soon, after all each one has a unique look!
Great instrument
This was a great purchase! The quality and care This guitar was put through before reaching me put my mind at ease.
Fantastic!
Looks even better in person, Excellent Fit and Finish, A joy to play.
Exceptional value
I have been playing guitar for 30 years but never tried a Schecter until now. What an absolutely beautiful instrument! I've been impressed with Schecter's Indonesia plant and their attention to detail. It's a clean guitar with no manufacturing flaws, something I can't say about many American guitars I've played and owned. The pickups are nice, nothing too special or anything but they sound lovely when coil split, something I can't say about my PRS SE Custom 24. At 14 inches, the radius is the flattest fretboard I own and I'm a convert. For $ this thing is a steal, especially when compared to a lot of the other major brands and their import options. Along with the light weight and fairly ergonomic design and this figures to be my new daily driver . . . at least until I buy another guitar.
The real reason I wrote this review, like the reason I suspect many people write their reviews on Sweetwater, is to compliment the outstanding customer service I received. Ryan went above and beyond to get me the guitar set up the way I wanted and arriving on time. Great customer service is rare in 2022 but is alive and well at Sweetwater. Thanks, guys!
Great guitar. Absolutely beautiful .
Bought this to replace a 90's vintage ESP Horizon that was damaged by a water pipe break. Sweetwater had a few of them and I chose the one with the most interesting spalting on the top. When I got it I couldn't believe how flamed the top was as well. This is one gorgeous guitar. When I received it, two of the tremolo springs had popped off and were rattling around in the cavity, but that was an easy fix.
As for playability, it feels really good. Fretwork is great; no sprout or rough edges, no dead spots. Action was a little high for me, but again easy fix. Nut is well cut, and between that and the locking tuners it stays in tune well when using the Wilkinson trem (I'm usually a Floyd guy so was pleasantly surprised). Pickups sound pretty good; medium output (perfect) and lots of clarity. Changing them out would be a matter of preference, not necessity.
Overall this is an outstanding guitar for the price; the fact that it looks like a piece of art hanging on the wall is a bonus. I have about 30 guitars and have been playing for 40 years. No regrets adding this one to the collection.
Hats off to Marcus Strout at Sweetwater. He called me a couple days after I got it to check in, and talked for a few minutes about how beautiful the top on this particular guitar was.
An Unbelievably Pleasant Surprise
Was ready to buy a Gibson SG, something I have wanted for about 40 years, when I saw one of these on the wall. It is actually prettier than the one pictured here. Asked to play it for a few minutes and said I will take it. The SG will have to wait until next time. I have now had the guitar for about 6 months and play it most when playing electric ( I have a number of hard body electrics including my first guitar which is a 45 year old telecaster in great condition). The C1 is really solid feeling, was set up great out of the box, and plays really well. It is kinda heavy hence the 4.5 stars. A great choice in the price range. And I got a nice supro amp with the money not spent on the SG. HIghly recommend this in the price point.
