The tone is mellow, & rich, the keyholes small, making it easy to bend notes. I just had to be devious enough to get a B-flat, after playing off & on in the key of C for 50 years, to jog myself out of my major scale complacency. I've been having fun with it, but am moving slowly with the lessons. (Wait ~ do I even have that note?? Where??) So I'm having to make some adjustments. But I guess I aaked for it. I know I'm supposed to keep my nose closed, but after a whole riff of inhales, I find that I need to breathe. But then, I kinda like the punctuation of the nose-breathing I hear from the likes of Paul Butterfield. "Nnfff!" Heh-heh.

If you are a harp player and looking for a reliable harp to get you through a gig these blues harps are the best that I have found. I generally break all of the harps that I use regularly. So I have been around the block buying every different type I could buy and most of them are now in my broken harp pile. For the money these hold up as well or better than all the rest.
