Not a replacement for Zoom BTA-1
I was trying to order a Zoom BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter. Since it was out-of-stock, Sweetwater recommended this unit as a direct replacement for the BTA-1. (For the Zoom B6 Pedal)
The issue is fit. This model has a full USB connector. If you look at the BTA-1 image below you will see that one side of the USB connector is open.
This unit will not work as a direct replacement for BTA-1, at least on the B6. It may work in other cases but didn't work for me.
Not quite plug & play but works well
Got this to update my 2010 iMac to work with an iPad app. After I figured out I had to turn off the internal Bluetooth on my iMac first, it worked great. Startech support sent me a Terminal command but that didn"t work. It was much simpler than that.
Turn off Bluetooth in System Preferences or the menu bar - wait a few seconds - plug in the usb Bluetooth adapter - wait a few seconds - then turn on Bluetooth again. It even works in a usb hub.
