This is an outstanding mic! Running this thing through a BLA eighteen into a BLA b172a and it just sounds incredible. I have a somewhat deep and semi retarded voice, this matched with the BLA stuff can give me that "announcer" vibe! I haven't tried singing due to the aforementioned retardation, but for spoken word and even hip-hop I can say this thing rocks.
Great mic for personal sound
I got this mic and love it's sensitive pickup of my voice. I sang for an hour with no back up music and had a great time. This is for one singer though so your friend will have a hard time harmonizing with you through the same mic. Also be careful not to breath directly into it. The specks says that it is resistant to this but it picks up everything, even the softest whisper.
Pretty good
The stand is pretty stout and seems like it will last. Cable feels very well made and seems to be shielded nicely. Mic feels and looks very nice, seems like it works ok but I have a Scarlett 2i2 pushing it and I don't think it quite cuts it. I have a BLA pre and comp coming next week and will do some further testing then.
