The children love this and are prone to practice more frequently.

This is a nice, basic piano bench. It has some adjustability, but not full adjustability, so if you're very particular about height versus your keys and you don't like to adjust your keyboard stand to get the right balance, you might want to invest in something a little different.

This has plenty of adjustability for me as far as height, and the pad is very comfortable for me. I weigh 165 pounds, and the padding is sufficient. I've been using a wooden bench for years, so honestly it feels great to me.

At the height I liked, as high as possible with the easier adjustments under the seat, the stability was slightly lacking. I did tip once, and there was a wall there so I didn't tip over, but I would have. Nearly tipped many times but only did once. I further adjusted the bench for this issue by pulling the central pin holding the legs together at the X, which lets you slide the feet further from each other or closer and re-pin it using additional holes drilled in the legs. I moved the pin up one setting, which spreads the feet wider. The bench lost a little height in that adjustment, which I didn't necessarily want, but I gained enough stability to stop feeling like I might tip. Most of the time.

I'm happy enough to be happy, very satisfied at the price point. I knocked off half a star for the continued fear of tipping, but playing with slight fear is ultimately a new and thrilling experience.

With wider legs it would be more stable at its max height. For me, since I'm always leaning, its not enough.

This bench is great. I like its adjustment features and comfort. It's well designed and constructed. I'm very pleased.

Am enjoying the seat. Easy to set up and break down. Easy to adjust height. And comfortable enough to get through a four hour gig.

This is a great piano bench....comfortable, adjustable, sturdy, and at a great price point.

I have a bad back and hip, so acceptable seating is sometimes difficult for me to find. This bench works well, and I am able to sit and play for hours without too much discomfort. I gave it only 4 stars because it does not fold well for travel. The leg assembly has to be completely removed before it will fold. Having the seat and leg assembly in two pieces is really no big deal, simply a nusiance.

A truly wonderful purchase! I've needed a new bench for months. I had my eye on another one, but my Sweetwater sales rep saved the day when I tried to order it. It was out of stock, so Ray recommended this Gator version. He even matched the price. Wow! It is so comfortable on a 3-hour gig! It's super sturdy and not heavy to haul around. I weigh almost 300lbs and was worried it wouldn't hold me but it does and it's very comfortable so definitely something I would purchase again. Highly recommend.

This Gator keyboard bench is comfortable and well built. I recommend it for the casual home keyboard player.

Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Has plenty of seating space and fits nicely in front of the keyboard.

If you are looking for something strong. This is NOT it.

The seat is made of a flimsy fiberboard instead of real wood. I shifted my weight a little, and you could hear the soft sound of fiberboard snapping in two.

When I called Gator to complain, they couldn't care less.

I needed a newer/new bench for a classy little dining spot, and so I ordered this along with other gear for the venue. It has worked out just fine, and I can sit on it for over an hour before something interrupts my flow. Glad I've got it for sure.

I like the bench but maybe it could be less expensive. Very sturdy.

I bought one a few years ago that is more comfortable. I think that they must have cut back (a little) on quality. But still, ok

I had a similar yamaha that was great. Could sit on it for hours comfortably.
I took a try at this one. One feature that was enticing was that maybe it was a little lower than a new yamaha.
Maybe it is, but I feel the hard wood of the bottom of the bench after only 20 minutes. I shudder to think what it'll feel
like on long gigs in 2 years. I weigh 185 pounds. This shouldn't be a challenge for the padding...
Obviously, will replace this bench soon...

This bench is made extremely well and required almost no effort to put it together. The adjustable height is real handy and it sits very solid and sturdy. Must have!!

Very padded and stable

This is a very nice portable bench. Works perfect in my studio and is pretty comfortable. It will be handy if I ever need to have a bench that I can take on a gig or bring to jam with friends.

It's such an average piano chair, for the money...

The only thing that bothers me are the bent screws, which were already from the manufacturer.
I will not return the goods because of this. Easier to buy other locking screws.

I bought this bench both to have something portable to take to jams and to have something adjustable that would work for keys and when I want to sit down with my bass in the studio. It's surprisingly well constructed for this price point, much better than a comparably priced bench stocked in most instrument stores. Spring locked pegs assure a solid position while allowing a range of heights, and the cushioning is much better than a standard piano bench.

I am a guitar player using this bench. The adjustable height allows me to set the bench lower to the ground for those pedal tweaking sessions.

Bench is very easy to assemble and break down during packing for gigs. Comfortable for me but one a little higher would be perfect. I use a pillow to come up to the keyboard height I like. I"d get another one if this one disappeared.. good choice.

My only issue is at the tallest setting for the legs, there is a stability problem due to the feet being closer together making it easier to tip over sideways. If the legs were longer (like the Ultra bench I'm replacing), this would not be an issue and I would rate it five stars. The photo I've attached has the new Gator bench in front and my older bench behind it with both adjusted to the same height.

So happy with this bench! Plenty of stability, and it feels like higher quality than the price reflects! :)

The padding is much better than the solid wood bench I grew up playing on:) It's quite comfortable. It can shake slightly when I play dramatic songs, but is still solid. I like the height adjustments. I can get it just right for my piano height. It is a very comfortable bench. I hope it lasts me a few years.

This bench seems hard at first but it'sa whole lot better than a piano bench after playing a while. It's sturdy and light enough to be portable by heavy enough to stay put

This seat/bench is comfortable and above all well built!

The bench is sturdy and comfortable. Much to my surprise, it's fairly light weight. It definitely feels road worthy.

Chose this bench as I was looking for something that was well built and could take some abuse as I have young kids using it. So far I am very pleased with it. It is sturdy and relatively easy to adjust.

This bench exceeded my expectations. It has multiple height adjustments which were easily changed. I found the padding on the seat to be very comfortable. It is not too heavy, but feels stable when sitting on it. Tucks under my keyboard stand out of the way.

Very strong bench. hoping it will last better than the on stage it's already coming apart on the cover .My on stage lasted about 2 years bad cover I think this material is better and thicker hopefully it will hold up better . Very easy set up folds down real good not taking up a lot of room.So far I like it better than the OnStage. now for the Rd test and time ware and tare .
Buy the Gator if you're a working musician.

The GFW-KEY-BNCH is a true POS. This bench falls apart every 10th time I sit in it!

I purchased it to get as much height as possible. The result, I fell off because I scooted to the edge not thinking that the x was too narrow. In my opinion it is not safe when fixed at it's greatest height. I have since built a 3 inch platform, lower the seat with the x much wider and find that is very comfortable.

The build quality is very good! It's built to last! I'm very happy with my purchase! I also like how it easy to take apart to make more room for my other gear.

This bench is comfortable and most importantly, very adjustable. The seat itself has adjustment points and the legs provide even more.

The only warning is to realize that because of its short length, it is susceptible to tipping if you shift your weight too much and lean to either side.

It is exactly what we needed and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

I bought this bench after reading the reviews. I like it so much that I offered to buy one for my wife, who plays the Celtic harp, if she felt the same way. She sat first on her existing bench, then on the Gator, and she made a happy "Ohhhhhhh!" sound. So I gave the Gator to her and I just finished ordering a second one. The adjustability is much better than on our old benches. We're very happy and highly recommend this bench.

I bought this bench for my son as a birthday present. The bench has good height adjustability and is firm and comfortable. I am impressed with the product and the quality of the product by Gator.

Easy to set up, easy to adjust, and very comfy. I've used many benches and this is my favorite in this range, short of an adjustable grand piano one of the next level.

Ordered this for my wife to sit at her Nord. She loves it! Strong and comfortable. Easy to adjust.

I've started doing concentrated work on keys lately but had nothing appropriate to sit on that could adjust to the proper height or was particularly comfortable.

I had the bench unpacked and assembled in only 5 minutes or so. Only 2 parts! I quickly found that it had more height gradations than I'd been told. I've had a chance to use it for both guitar and keys, and have found it to be comfortable for both.

It's not particularly stylish for my living room setting (wysiwyg!) but very functional and probably very good for gigging (I haven't actually tried this) with its quick setup and portability. Ask me about the durability of the seat a year from now, though I see no obvious red flags.

Especially for the price, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

As a choral director who also must accompany during class-time rehearsals, this bench enables me to sit at a perfect height (23") to see well over the spinet piano, and keep eye contact with the students while playing.

Excellant service

This is one of the most solid and well-made keyboard benches I have seen. I am not a keyboard player, but wanted something portable that would not take up much space and durable to take to gigs for our sound man to use. This fits the bill very well! All the members of our group are impressed and very pleased. I would highly recommend this bench. It is a little more expensive than some others out there, but well worth the money.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm new to playing a keyboard, so if there is something in a keyboard bench that will "blow me away" (the five-star rating), I have no idea what it would be. I received what I expected - nice looking, sturdy, well padded, and easily adjustable.

Great solid stool. Plenty of padding and nice width. Adjustable height. Would like to see an optional back rest. Also, an optional tote bag would be cool. This should last for many years to come. Very satisfied!

I really like this gator bench, I also have and onstage version, but for me, I truthfuly prefer the gator version. I keep the gator at my place where our band rehearsal takes place,and the other I use when I do a church and choir retreat. I can't say anything really negative about either one of them, now the thing I do like about the gator bench is, that there is aknob to tighten the bench sstand on the gator stand whereas on the Onstage one, you have to use a wrench to accomplish this, which is really no big deal at all, except if you're performing, and for some reason your bench starts to feel a bit loose, if you haven't a wrench, well? baby you be out of luck. :) Other than that, they're both good benches however, if you're making a decision which one to purchase, honestly? go for the Gator, really I think you'll be 100% happy that you did.

I've used On Stage Stands benches before and thought I'd try this one from Gator Frameworks. It is similarly adjusted under the seat but has 3 additional adjustments in the middle where the legs cross giving you the ability to raise or lower the bench more than others. Very comfortable padding too.

I would give this bench a 5, but it does not let down as far as needed. Another person has stated the same thing. It is uncomfortable after a while due to being too high, and due to the way I have to sit on it. It would be very comfortable if it let down to a correct height. Wish the company would change this one factor (and send upgraded parts to those of us who have already purchased one)!

Great, comfortable and adjustable bench! Adjusts easily for kids and adults. I'm 6'7" and my son is 5'5 and we can both make it work without too much effort.

It seems to be very durable. I've dropped a star because it does tip forward a little bit without a whole lot of effort. I am trying to get my son to not "rock" on it and will be curious to see how it holds up to his abuse... I do not anticipate a problem, I just wish it was more stable to prevent the tipping.

This well padded but not too soft keyboard bench hits the sweet spot for me. It is a welcome improvement over the aging and butt-hurting bench I had kept in service for too many years. Very nice.

Well made, comfortable. No surprises. I wish there was a way to latch the legs after folding for transporting. But overall I'm very happy with it.

After a few years dragging around a rather heavy space-consuming bench to gigs with my virtual theatre organ, the new Gator bench is working out perfectly! When folded, it uses very little room and is easy to load-in and load-out. I use the bench at the full height which is perfect for reaching the foot pedals and swell pedal on the virtual organ. Having reached a "certain age" when it's too painful to stand while playing keys for a 4-hour gig, I needed a bench/stool that was stable, high enough to be comfortable, didn't take up much room in my car... and was inexpensive. This bench meets all of my criteria, and then some.

I got this for playeing guitar on. My resonator guitars are heavy on the one side and need support. This bench is the perfect height for playing guitars on and long enough to support the body. I love it.

Bought Gator products in the past, so reviews didn't sway me. Never been disappointed up to and including now! Well made and good looking too. Like many other reviews have said, "It does rock slightly when not in use!" So, if you live in a wind tunnel or on an earthquake fault and see it rock slightly, you have been warned. Other than that buy it you won't be disappointed!

this is a great seat It is comfortable and best it is adjustable

When a couple hours ago I submitted my first review, I returned to the bench to figure out if there was a way to lower its height and I had missed it. As it often happens, my initial assessment was not entirely accurate. I withheld a star because I had not noticed there are two different ways to lower the seating height. I had only worked with the more obvious settings. Upon my return, I analyzed the crossed legs and noticed there are three holes and by manipulating the center screw, the seat is raised or lowered further. It's why now I return to give the full five stars rating to this moderately priced bench.

The bench is sturdy, but at it's lowest position, it's still a few inches higher than desired by some. It would be even better rated if the legs could be shortened or if the assembly allowed adjustment to a lower position for taller players.

Really excellent, sturdy keyboard bench. I mistakenly ordered 2 of them, and when I saw the 1st one, I was so impressed that I deceided to keep both!
