Beautifully simple!

By Chris from Watertown, MA

Has no problem powering beefier modules like the Frap Tools Brenso inside a full rack and features more sliding nuts than you'd ever need. Absolute no-brainer for anyone wanting to turn their 19" rack into a Eurorack.

Good starting point

By Sweetwater Customer

I bought one to start and installed a VCO, VCF, VCA, and a mixer/output. It is built well and the power supply is enough to power these standard modules.

LIke it so much, I bought five

By Bruce
Music Background: Too extensive to fit into this tiny space

If you're comfortable with 19" rack-mount gear, this is a terrific piece of kit: a great power supply, mounting rails, and rack-mount ears, all for just slightly more than the price of the power supply alone. I like it so much, I've bought five so far. I particularly like the captive nuts, as they make it really easy to install modules and then to move them around as I acquire new gear and decide to upgrade my system configuration.

MY BACKGROUND: In the 1970s and 1980s I used all the "classic" analog and digital synths extensively in the recording studio, onstage, to teach music at university level, and ultimately, to transition into a career in software development. I was on the design teams that created several instruments and software packages you'd probably recognize if I named them now, but ultimately, I decided to get out of the music industry and into making serious money.

Now retired, I've come back to my first love, analog synthesis, and am having a *great* time exploring all the myriad possibilities of modern Eurorack modular gear. If you are into electronic music, there has never been a better time to be alive than right now.

Trust me, I know. I was there, back then.

GREAT EURORACK FRAME AND POWER SUPPLY

By Mark K. from Beautiful Melbourne Florida
Music Background: Retired professional, loving life and my wife

I picked up a couple of these to build prototype Eurorack systems for testing. The power supply is VERY low noise as measured on my analyzer and scope. Voltage regulation was top quality. Awesome price too.

I wish Behringer would make a rack/tabletop unit with a plastic rear enclosure to protect open circuitboards, sort of a mini Go Rack.

The slide rails on these are also awesome, precise and easy to work with. I'll be buying more of these.

Good Music To You!

Good product, fast shipping, GREAT price!

Music Background: Too extensive to fit into this tiny space

$ for the power supply alone vs $ for the power supply plus the rails and rackmount ears? If you want to put your Eurorack gear in a 19" rack, this is a no-brainer. I'll probably by buying another soon, as my system seems to keep growing.

One helpful tip, though. Given the way the captive nuts slide back and forth, it's a lot easier to put your modules in this rack first, while it's laying on a flat surface, *before* you install this chassis in a 19" rack.

Hard to beat this price for 84HP and power supply

By Eric from Montana
Music Background: 29 years electronic music production, 15 years live sound engineering

This Eurorack rack fits in any 19" wide rack or a DIY wood stand. Includes an ample power supply and 2 flying bus cables, more than enough in most cases. Includes enough 3mm nuts unless you are using a lot of 2HP modules, more can be added if needed. You just need to provide your own 3mm screws but all modules I've purchased have come with screws and you will probably want to use something you prefer like Knurlies or some 6mm long hex screws for a more uniform look.

Power supply has an on/off switch on the front and it's easy to add more of these racks as your system grows. This is a great option if you are on a budget and can't afford a big rack right away. Quality is great for the price, no complaints. This rack can also be used as a slightly angled desktop rack which makes it more versatile than just mounting rack ears on 84HP rails.

A great option for anyone wanting to dabble with Eurorack modular or mount Eurorack sized equipment in an existing 19" rack.

FYI: No screws for Eurorack modules included

By Sweetwater Customer from Seattle, WA

Everything was fine with this rack-mount kit, but I was surprised there were no screws included to mount your Eurorack modules. Not a biggie if you have some already, but if you are just starting out, like me, make sure to order some screws as well. A Sweetwater sales associate can probably point you to the correct ones.

Since this rack uses "Sliding nuts" I believe this will be helpful information:
"M2.5 screws have a 2.5mm diameter, and are typically meant for use with cases with sliding nuts (such as Make Noise, Pulp Logic, etc.)."

And just for general knowledge:
"Short" screws are 6mm long; this is the length of screw typically included with new Eurorack modules. "Medium" screws are 8mm long and are often a better choice if you're mounting your modules with washers. "Long" screws are 10mm long, great for use with modules with thicker-than-usual faceplates (like Bastl's wood-paneled modules)."

Overall, happy with this rack, fits nicely in a 3U space of my outboard audio gear rack.
