Behringer Abacus Music Computer Eurorack Module
Behringer Abacus Music Computer Eurorack Module Reviews
The Behringer Abacus Eurorack module is exactly what it sounds like: a mathematical analog processor designed to create unique, algebraic functions. Inspired by familiar, renowned models of the 1960s, the Abacus’ interface is jam-packed with linear, logarithmic, and exponential triggered or continuous function possibilities. Four CV inputs with modulation depth and direction control expand the limits of envelope creativity, allowing you to amplify, integrate, or invert multiple functions for complex lag, slew, or portamento effects. Similarly, generated LFO signals onboard the Abacus can reach 25 minutes in length with speeds up to 1kHz for a wide range of modulation choices — this includes the possibility of backward modulation and tempo manipulation within your system! Topped off with its standard 20HP build and included hardware, it’s no wonder so many Sweetwater synth fanatics have chosen to integrate an Abacus module into their Eurorack setup.

So good got a second
A nice Maths clone at a great price. So nice this is my second one. Can do alot with two and some interesting Abacus only voice with that two. As well all the wonderful things a single one can do.
Solid Value, But with Some Caveats
Behringer Abacus module
Exactly like Math's for a way better price. I highly recommend it.
Out of sight stuff here man
Fantastic backwards/forwards sound shaping module. I'm starting to enjoy the 60's and 70's synth sounds this unit produces. Well worth the price and not hard to patch in and roll with the rest of your modules. Very useful if you're just starting out like me with say for instance, a midi keyboard, oscillator, amp, envelope generator, eq/mixer and such. It can take these modest and not so modest noise makers to a whole new level. Love it.
Works like Maths, feels so cheap
I have the Maths module, wanted another one, saw this and though for $ I will try it, IT WORKS JUST AS GOOD AS MATHS, but the knobs are slick, small, and the connectors feels cheap, thats what I would exspect on a module that costs $ less than the Maths. I wanted to ad more LFO's to my setup, and I like having modules that do more than one thing. Will it last? if your not ruff with it, I think it will last fine. I am replacing my knobs with the euro style ones, they are easier to adjust than the slick ones on it.
Maths..WAS thought of before..
Well someone DID think of it -- it's called MATHS by Make Noise. But yeah, this builds on that original module based on , indeed, Buchla concepts and then some
Interesting Controller
Just started playing with this module and it's immediately apparent what a great value this arithmetic control voltage generator is. I never actually used the Buchla, but attended a live Seastones performance by Ned Lagin, Phil Lesh and crew so I can appreciate the usage for both retro and drone/house styles of electronic music production, both live and studio. Behringer has done it again!
Maths Killer
I have Maths too and glad to pick this up for a mere $ for use in another rack.
Capitalism at it's very best.
The forefront of design
Behringer innovation at it's finest. They did it ...again!
Math in a Eurorack Module Format? Incredible!
Why didn't anyone else think of this first?
