The perfect paring for my pedalboard
the finishing touch for my home studio rig practice made not only more precise as far as timing goes but also the ease of use makes this a permanent fixture
Great Pedal
I needed a back up set up for my beat buddy and this footswitch did the trick putting it all together.
I love Sweetwater they know their stuff and treat their customers great!!
it’s about the functionality
nice wide base keeps it stable under your foot while playing live, make sure you have the correct cable
Must-have accessory for BeatBuddy mini2
Ordered this to expand the capabilities of my BeatBudy Mini2 pedal, which is great! This dual footswitch is solidly built and the big buttons are easy to hit even in my "rock & roll boots". Seems like it will hold up to live use well. I especially like that this gives me a "pause" function in mid-song, as well as access to a straight crash during a song. I will say that I was hoping it would be easier to navigate from one BBM2 patch to another - it's a little awkward in a live context, and setting the tap tempo is challenging sometimes, but that's just something I need to practice! Really a must have for any BB user.
Beat Buddy foot switch...
Makes life easier used in conjunction with the beat buddy. would recommend. Built well...
Must have for anyone using the BeatBuddy!
I have had the BeatBuddy Mini 2 for a couple years now and it is without doubt my favorite pedal. I use it weekly during worship in my church youth group. I have been wanting to get this Footswitch for a while now and finally made the decision to purchase it and I was not disappointed. This thing (while limited in function with the BB Mini2) is awesome! I love being able to switch between Genre, Song and Tap Tempo without having to bend down between each song to change the beat. The included 1/4 inch TRS patch cable is also really nice and has some Singular Sound branding on it. Now, I just need to save up so I can get the bigger BeatBuddy and have even more functionality with this Footswitch. For the $, this is a must have for anyone that uses a BeatBuddy!
Enhance Your BeatBuddy Experience
I have the BeatBuddy Mini 2 on my pedal board and the Foot Switch + makes using the drum machine so much easier. Really like not having to bend over to change genres, songs or tempo. Singular Sound did a great job integrating these pedals.
Great add-on
This is well built, and makes the beat buddy even more useful. Highly recommend it.
One-Man Band
I've been playing music for the past few years. Started with open mics and this year, progressed to booking a summer of live gigs.
As a guitar player who plays both acoustically and with his electrics, it's been impossible to find a drummer: all the competent ones (or at least those who want to work regularly) are playing in multiple bands. I began downloading drum tracks from guys like Jim Dooley and others and those were great to stream with over the winter. However, I just booked a show at a dive bar that I know appreciates a louder, more aggressive show than the usual solo acoustic material I've been playing. So, what to do? Well, get a BeatBuddy, of course.
I played the show on Friday. I played a solid three hours with my only accompaniment the tracks I had on my BeatBuddy SD card that came with the stompbox. My god!! What a time we had!!
I've read a lot of players talking about it as a great "practice" tool, and it is that. But for me, someone not content to sit around and wait for a drummer to show, it's given me a whole new realm of gigging possibilities. I highly recommend it.
Worth it
Using a double tap on the main pedal is an awkward way to stop and start percussion. The foot switch solves this with one tap start and stop...and opens up a bunch of creative options. Love the larger buttons...perfect for playing in bare feet...takes just a light tap.
nice gadget
works as described
BeatBuddy Footswitch+
The Footswitch+ is really a nice addition to the main BB pedal.
BeatBuddy Footswitch
Really easy to use, goes great with the BeatBuddy for adding accents and pauses. Well worth getting if you are thinking of buying the BeatBuddy. As always, Chris Barry was very helpful - always a pleasure dealing with him.
Great add-on
Essential add-on to my Beat-Buddy Mini 2. Enables foot control of genre, song and tempo via right button. Left button is for accent (cymbal).
Perhaps a better use of left button-----> volume control; on/off ?
Overall, very satisfied with both BB Mini and footswitch.
Good addition to the Beat Buddy!
It's great to be able to stop and start the drum track at any point and have it keep perfect time. Having the optional cymbal is just icing on the cake. Looks like a tough, well made unit.
BeatBuddy Footswitch
Must have for Drum machine!! gives it that added Dimension of adding your own extra sound!!
BeatBuddy foot switch
Well it really works. It stops the drum loop and it sounds a cymbal hit when needed. It's worth the money.
It's great fantastic.
This pedal is an extra boost for this unit.
Beat Buddy Add On
For the extra $50 it is well worth it.
Beat Buddy is great!
This little unit is sturdy, quiet, and easy to use. It has a lot of flexibility as well. The ability to start and stop is just what a guitarist, vocalist or other live performer would want. I highly recommend it!
A must have for your BeatBuddy
This is a well constructed switch that's very sturdy and comfortable to use. I have both the Mini 2 and the BeatBuddy and it works as designed with both units. Some would wonder about combining the two units but this is one well thought out design that was the result of actual user input. If you have a BeatBuddy you need this switch.
The Beat Buddy Footswitch
I got my Beat Buddy through the Kickstarter campaign, and I've been using it for a while now. I got my footswitch from Sweetwater and I've used it every day since. It is programmable, so you can customize your footswitch to perform the changes you use the most, including setting up a "play list". This is a must-have accessory if you are using the Beat Buddy, it frees up your hands for more important things. The two drawbacks about the footswitch: 1. You have to use the foot-pedal on the Beat Buddy for your "fills", it would be handy to have a foot-pedal on the footswitch itself so you could do all your controls on the one box. 2. A visible counter on the footswitch would be really useful if you're using it to setup playlists. All the drawbacks are with manufacturing, there's no drawbacks from ordering with Sweetwater.com. Once again, Sweetwater.com has exceeded my expectations regarding delivery, product and customer service. I would recommend the Beat Buddy footswitch (and Sweetwater.com) to my friends.
BeatBuddy footswitch
Works as advertised!
Muh needed
Works great with the Beatbuddy
Beat Buddy footswitch
I think this footswitch is just great for my Beat Buddy. Although it needs to change me with a 6 ft. stereo chord. Had to buy one. The chord it came with is about 6 to 8 inches long. Which is fine if both Beat Buddy and Footswitch are on the floor. I used for church worship and I am an older dude and need my Beat Buddy close so I can see the display. So I need to put Beat Buddy up high and footswitch on the floor. So I had to buy a longer stereo chord. Someone should make people aware of this. But switch except for short chord is great!

BeatBuddy's Buddy
A must have to get the most out of your BeatBuddy pedal. Works great. Switches could be a little quieter, but functions well.
Does what it supposed to do
If you purchase the beat buddy and plan to use it for any kind performance, you must have this device. It's major problem is that it is very sensitive. What this means is that when you tap it goes and skips a couple of settings instead of just going to the next one
Good idea,but limited
I bought the BeatBuddy Mini 2, and this Footswitch. It helps a little bit, by allowing cut off with one click, rather than the " double click " required to make a" Stop ". However, this single click " Stop" does not behave like the 2 click on the Unit. To go to " Tap Tempo " you first must engage the " Double Stop " on the Unit. Then , you can input the "Tap Tempo" feature on the Pedal. This is not " performance friendly ". The left pedal is for a crash cymbal, that cannot be changed. That pedal should be put to multiple use. I am sure the pedal would be more effective with the bigger BeatBuddy.
pedero
this pedal does not work as it should. if you accidently barely touch just the body the switches operate.
Must have
If you buy the beat buddy you must also have this. Theyshouldpackage both pedals for 1 price. That's the only reason I didn't give it a higher rating.
Mine stopped working
After a couple of weeks of mild use, the right switch would only pause intermittently. Plus it was making my Beat Buddy mini cycle repeatedly thru the three modes. A different footswitch solved the problem. I'm sure these normally work fine. Mine took a dive.
Beat Buddy 2
The pedal is very easy to use and has a fair amount of different beats. The Latin sound, however, are simplistic and have a minimum of instruments. The "Bulerías" (1 and 2) do not follow the bulerías rhythm at all. I like the pedal but I would like buy more Latin beats with more percussion instruments — maracas, no goes, tumbas, Etc.—
necessity
Ordered this because I love music with stops and it's a better stop than trying to pull a fader down in a timely manner with a regular drum machine. Works well. The other button, cymbal sound, doesn't ring my bell but might be fine for other folks. Overall, a good addition to the beat buddy mini for me.
Good pedal - cheap plug
The plug was broken on the first pedal when I received it. Sweetwater quickly sent out a replacement. The plug on the second pedal seemed fine when I received it but after using it only a couple of times it already coming loose. The bad thing is that the shaft on the plug is made of plastic so it can't be tightened down without taking a chance of stripping it. In my book this is a major flaw.
The pedal itself seems to work fine and is fairly heavy duty - just the one weak point in the plug.
Foot Switch
Works as advertised.
I wish it could control the fills/transitions instead of crash
I did not read through the features enough, I assumed it could control the fills and transitions. It can't.
If you like to play...skip the beat buddy
THe foot switch works fine...it's the pedal I hate... I thought buying premium songs would work great...lol miss a cue sink the song....hit the pedal late doesn't play you are off time....this makes playing NOT Enjoyable
Junk
Piece of advice do not buy this two failed on me!
Don't Buy It!
This Singular Sound product does not work. I have tried everything that I know but the footswitch not only does not perform as described, but it also cannot be programmed to change the sound of the unit's output as described by the manufacturer's documentation. I have had to buy another brand of footswitch. My first one was out of Sweetwaters Guarantee because I took more than a month trying to get it to work. I worked very hard and I have another piece of junk. Do not believe the description on the website, you may lose your money.
Should be better
Love my Beatbuddy but this switch is awful. The first one became very unreliable after a couple months, I think because the right switch started wobbling. Maybe it can't take the foot pressure. Sweetwater replaced it and I bought a spare just in case. Just treat it with care when pressing and it might last longer. The other very annoying thing is that the casing seems to be either plastic or cast aluminum. In any case you get a distinct "lop-lop" sound when you press the button. It's very distinct and can be readily heard. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that it's hollow. I recently put silicone in the cover seam on the back and it seems to help. I also wrapped the case with thick tape to try and dampen the sound. I highly recommend the manufacturer fill the inside void somehow to stop this toy-like annoyance.
Horrible!
Two crapped out on me sent them back won't buy again!! The beat buddy on the other hand now that's a different ballgame, I love my beat buddy! Plus for the price it sucks.
Not a reliable pedal
After using this pedal at home with the Beat Buddy for less than two months, the right switch (as mentioned in other reviews) stopped working. This is a great addition to the BB but needs to be more reliable. I most likely will order a Boss footswitch to replace as I have had a few of these for years and not had any issues. Hoping the BB itself does not have similar issues.
Garbage
Bought a demo and it worked for 15 minutes. Returned it and Sweetwater sent me a replacement that looks new, however this one has the same right switch issue and stopped working after a few hours. The cable was also replaced and the beat buddy is almost new only been played in my bedroom, so there is probably something wrong with those foot switches that would require a recall or something. Lame
Footswitch is cheap and malfunctions at the worst possible moment
My first footswitch worked a week of light home use before the right button quit working. Singular Sound replaced it and the second one lasted less than a week. For my purpose it's a necessity, so it renders the whole Beat Buddy useless. The pedal failed during a performance which was embarrassing. Without the footswitch the Beat Buddy has a loud and over-done Outro for every patch that is a song ruiner. If this switch only worked it would be great, but they're junk.
Flimsy
This switch is not built very well. I've had it a couple of weeks and one of the switches is wobbling really bad. If it makes it another week I'll be amazed
Far too noisy for recording studios
If you are thinking of live performance in semi-loud situations the additional footswitch is fine. However, be warned, the switches make an awful noise. I would not take them into the studio for recording. Their tech man checked out my video and said that the level of noise was 'normal' for them. You can hear the clunk of the switch as well as the squeak of the spring, all amplified by the enclosure.
Loud for quiet gigs
If you're doing quieter gigs, you may want to consider other options because the buttons on this footswitch are loud when pressed.
