At this price, I was a bit hesitant to purchase this. I keep all my sound gear, etc., in my van (pretty much year round) but this carries three guitar straps, capos, tuners, short instrument cables, batteries, extra strings, picks, etc., AND the tablet I use for my virtual mixer. It is light and I appreciate that when you set it down, it is constructed to stay upright, and does not fall over. While doing a bit of research on this gear bag, I noted that some people really load it up w/quite a few cables, mics, etc. I do not. This bag is always transported back into my house and into my rehearsal room/office. (Trying to keep the batteries from extreme temps, and to charge the tablet.) I have an "across the chest" bag that I used for some time, but it was a bit difficult to remove the items from inside, as they were quite compacted. This bag does take up a more room, but retrieving contents is much easier...and-at least for me-it stays upright. As I don't use it to transport multiple mics, cables, I can't speak to how it might function/hold up. I do believe it is well constructed and the zippers have worked with ease. As to the back straps, I've yet to use both. At best, I just sling it over one shoulder and normally just hold it and the guitar case in one hand when transporting.
