Leslie BT-122 Baby Leslie Bluetooth Speaker Reviews

Bluetooth Speaker with Leslie 122 Design

Designed for use with your Mobile Phone, Pad, Media Player, Laptop or any other Bluetooth-compatible device, the "Baby Leslie" speaker is modeled after the aesthetics of the original Leslie 122 Speaker and brings a classic vibe and look to whatever songs you listen to. Get pristine high end and full low end from the songs on your playlist while illuminated LEDs mimic the spinning horn rotor of the original 122. The original Leslie badge and nameplate have been re-created from the original Leslie logo giving this portable speaker a vintage look as well — added touches we really love here at Sweetwater.

Music Background: Keyboard

I love it sounds good. It reminds me of back in the day when I used to carry one. Take 2 people now. I can carry it by myself.

Great LOOKING Mini Leslie Speaker

By AINSLEY H. from BROOKLYN, NY

Anyone interested in this is a fan of the Hammond organ with the legendary Leslie Speaker. The miniature bluetooth replica looks great. I wasn't expecting input options. However professionals will find the sound quality a bit disappointing. For the Leslie speaker is known for its unique and rich sound, I wish this gave much better audio fidelity. So to me this is something to look at, not listen to, except to hear how your audio sounds through subpar speakers.

NOT CHARGING!

By Sweetwater Customer from LA

I'm on the second one (Christmas gift from my wife) of these things and the speaker is still not taking a charge and also not being recognized by any Bluetooth player, even when it is plugged in. I'm guessing that these batteries have been in a warehouse forever and are beyond dead. The biggest bummer is that this is a hint as to Suzuki's general quality control over the Hammond brand. I've been "sponsored" Hammond player for decades and have owned the SK1, the SK2 and now I'm playing the SKX. While I love the modeled tone wheel sound of these organs, I can see obvious corners being cut and little oversights here and there that make me think that they don't really give a crap...stuff like faulty adapters, bad power supplies, and cheap jacks on an instrument that costs thousands of dollars. The fact that this little toy Leslie Bluetooth arrived DOA TWO times in a row kinda confirms my fears that all of the love and care has been sucked out of this legendary company.

Baby Leslie

By john h. from AZ
Music Background: former road musician; hauled a Hammond M-300 and Leslie 145 all over the Midwest

You don't need a review to buy this. You are buying it because it's a miniature Leslie replica. I agree with other reviewers about sound quality and lack of inputs. Output is modest but ok for medium/low volume desktop listening. Almost every $100-plus BT speaker out there should provide better sound, but none of them looks like a Leslie 122. The Hammond literature claims the cabinet is "plastiwood." It sure looks and feels like real wood to me with natural graining. It's beautiful.

Accurate portrayal of a legend in micro form

By Jerry H. from Arkansas
Music Background: lifelong enthusiast

With high expectations I awaited the Leslie BT-122. It is impressive looking as it is so well proportioned to look just like its GrandPa. But,,,,,with a desk top comparison and apples to apples comparison, the Bose Soundlink Resolve blows the Leslie away as far as sound enhancement. That that is precisely why I bought both of these. Quite frankly, I was hoping that both speakers could be paired with my iPhone at the same time but that didn't happen. For looks, I give the Leslie the nod; for sound it goes to the Bose, hands down!
