Taylor Baby Taylor BTe-Koa Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural Koa Reviews

6-string Acoustic-electric Guitar with Koa Top, Koa Back and Sides, Mahogany Neck, and Ebony Fingerboard - Natural

The Taylor Baby BTe-Koa packs the warmth and snap of an all-koa body into a 3/4-size dreadnought. This acoustic-electric guitar's smaller design is extremely comfortable and fun to play. And when you need to plug in, the Baby BTe-Koa has Taylor's ES-B pickup built in. It uses the under-saddle pickup of the ES2 system coupled with a preamp that sports a chromatic tuner. Whether you're looking for a guitar to craft songs on or a great travel guitar, the Taylor Baby BTe-Koa is the perfect choice.

Great looking and sounding 3/4 guitar.

Smallest guitar I own.

First thing I noticed was how cute the dang thing is. And it has such a big sound. Haven't plugged it in yet. I'm sure it will sound as good as my GSmini. It was packed with Sweetwater's usual care. Very happy with it.

Better than expexted

I have had a Martin Backpacker for years and never liked the tone or playability (unbalanced/ neck heavy). Always wished I spent a little more and got a Baby Taylor instead. Finally looked again and decided on the koa with electronics. Sure, the tone is not like my high end Taylor but it sounds great. Sustain is amazing. Overall quality is good. But the biggest thing is it plays great. I can wail on this and even bend strings. Maybe it's the short scale but super fun to play. Action is great too. I would even use this as a gigging guitar. It has become one of my go-to guitars to play at home too. Built in tuner is so convenient too!

Love my Koa Baby Taylor

Bought this guitar to travel with and to take to the office. I am a small person, so I am very happy with Taylor's smallest travel guitar. I love the koa, it has a rich, shimmery tone. The tuner is spot on and it sounds good plugged in. As with my Taylor Grand Concert, the Baby is easy on my hands and is very comfortable to play. I am very happy with my purchase. I am excited to fly with it shortly.

Oh BABY!

The design of the BTe-Koa is excellent. It's got the voice of a much bigger guitar. It fills the room.
The tone is excellent and the look of it is rich. Basically, unless you've got really fat fingers there's no need for a big boxy guitar (except if you think it might impress someone else). Whether you are traveling or playing at home, this is much more comfortable to play than the full size dreadnaught.

The set up is great, so there's no need to have it worked on. It's right, right out of the box. So, unless you feel a need for fancy trim details at several times the prices this is a winner! Go try one out. It's the bomb!

Amazing Little Guitar!

By Cyndy from Ny on October 15, 2021 Music Background: Singer/so ngwriter

I wanted this guitar to travel with. I love Taylor guitars so I thought I would give it a try. It was amazing right out of the box.. great action , a clear big sound, super comfortable to play and extremely well made! The more I play it the warmer it sounds. There are only two drawbacks but they wouldn't have stopped me from getting it. The first one is … it's very hard to get a guitar strap on it on the place where the cord plugs in. It's very wide and has little screws in it that are raised… so you have to get a strap with very thin ends and even then I had to cut the hole wider in the strap… and the second is the gig bag is not too good. The guitar has a tight fit and a lot of pressure goes on the head. I ended up purchasing the hard case. All in all… great purchase and super great customer care from my sales rep , Jordan!
