With gorgeous looks to match its sweet sound, there’s big value in the Washburn Bella Tono Vite S9V acoustic-electric guitar. Featuring Washburn’s innovative “studio” body design, it offers a more compact and comfortable feel while retaining punchy lows and rich mids you’d expect from a larger instrument. Its sultry sound is enhanced by premium appointments you wouldn’t normally expect in a guitar of this class, such as an ebony bridge and fretboard, and real bone nut. And with its built-in Barcus Berry LX4 electronics, you’re assured of great plugged-in tone too. Wrapped in a distinctive finish, the Washburn Bella Tono Vite S9V should appeal to players of all types.

Love this Guitar

By Randy Mellinger from Scotts Mills, Oregon on August 31, 2022 Music Background: I play for the enjoyment of guitars

To make a long story short, I purchased this guitar from the other guys when it first was introduced, covid broke out. A year and a half went by and no guitar, I ended up getting another Washburn Koa Festival Guitar. I kept watching to see who was going to get these in and Sweetwater was first. I waited two and a half years to get this guitar and it was worth the wait. I love the finish, the walnut body and the neck on this guitar is so easy to play. It is aesthetically one of the most beautiful guitars around and it sounds amazing, I'm sold on Washburn Acoustic Guitars.

Great guitar

By Sweetwater Customer on June 11, 2022

This was my first guitar from Sweetwater and I want to say that the guitar was perfect in everyway. One of the reasons I ordered from them in the first place was their inspection. I was not disappointed. The guitar plays and sounds great. Two minor things about this guitar is one of the wires for the electronics is not secure on the inside, so if I wobble the guitar for effect is sometimes slaps the top. I don't know why it's not secure but I will probable fix this with some painters tape when I change the strings. The second minor complaint is the strings stick a little in the nut when tuning so I have to push down on the string sometimes. This is a beautiful well made guitar. I can't really say much about the electronics except they work because I only have a regular amp and not an acoustic amp. I had to wait a long time for this guitar since I preordered it but it was worth the wait. I've ordered guitars from other big name online sites and I must say this was the first guitar I could play right out of the box with no set up. Thankyou Washburn, and Sweetwater

Best new&cheap acoustic you can get?

By John Deeken from Iowa on June 3, 2022

It may be. This S9V is well constructed, sounds very nice, and (as is commonly said of many things) looks better in person than the photos give it credit for.
Given that this is what is being shipped for the low price tag, it only makes sense that it needs a setup…and golly does it….
The nut was cut almost to the right depth but not wide enough for the strings which means if not addressed you have high action and tuning issues…possibly broken strings.
The frets needed leveling though the ends were actually quite good.
The bridge is too high, and there are no spacers underneath as it butts directly against the piezo pickup. As such it needs filed.
All in all, it is a great guitar, and if you can do the work, it's a bargain. If you can't, ask your sales engineer about setup services before you buy so you can get a finger on what it will actually cost you.
Happy strumming….

Sick guitar

Very nice. Sounds great!

Just what I would expect from Sweetwater. First time buyer

By Tim Martin from Antioch, CA on November 1, 2021 Music Background: Home recording artist

I purchased a Washburn Bella Tone S9V and the service and time it arrived was impeccable. Even though the Washburn guitar was a Demo it was still given a thorough inspection before it arrived. It was as if were brand new. My faith in this company is number 1.
Thanks

Love this guitar beautiful sound easy to cord and a beautiful finish

I am in love.

This guitar has so much to offer. The tonal range is great. The quality Barcus-Berry electronics, including an accurate tuner and solid aux connections, ensure a great sound both plugged and unplugged. And needless to say the black walnut body and filigree fret-board inlay makes for a gorgeous aesthetic. As a smaller person, the concert body size fits me perfectly with very little compromise to sound. Top notch Washburn work for the price.

I think this guitar will be another Washburn success.

This guitar has a very nice tone across lows to highs. One can hear that it is not a full size instrument but for its body shape ( concert ) the sound is very clean. I will have more control when plugged in because of the onboard electronics. The tuner seems to be quite accurate. Better than most! I really like the look of this guitar which is what made me decide to purchase along with Washburn's quality control with nice fit and finish. I think this is a well built, good looking, and fair priced guitar.

Long term review

By Eric from Vermont on July 21, 2023 Music Background: 34 years

So I have had this instrument for some time now. It is my main instrument. I own several Washburns, and have always been pleased. Sweetwater is always fantastic! While guitars at this price point always have some minor warts, it also only takes a little bit of time and some extra money to really make them shine. While I dont buy guitars for looks, I do like the way this one looks. I will note I have owned top tier instruments like 900 series Taylors, and I have played nearly every guitar model you can imagine. If you are looking for a budget guitar that will shine with a little polish.. this is a great choice.

Amazing!

By Zak Saenz from Pearisburg, VA on September 1, 2021

OK, I was looking for a electric acoustic at a affordable price point and somehow came across the Bella Tono Vita. I went and found a couple of videos of it (the person doing the product video for this is not a good example) and was like this thing sounds pretty good, it also had some good written reviews. Now I have about 65 guitars and have had 2k acoustics before but am more of a straight electric guy. So it came in and first thoughts were it sounds pretty dang good. So put a extra light set of strings on it and oiled the fret board and installed a front strap button (not sure why they don't come with one) tuned her up and dialed her in and all I have to say is look no farther, this guitar is fantastic plugged in. Rich tones throughout from bass to clear highs. Besides the front strap button the only other thing I would say is they could have spent a little more time on the frets and fret ends which is why I gave it a 4.5.

Good sound

WASHBURN BELLA TONO VITE S9V

By Donald Wolfe from Kamiah, ID on August 10, 2021

Guitar was packaged very well
arrived in a timely fashion.
amazing condition for not getting the pre delivered inspection. (279.00) 299.00 AND UP RECEIVE INSP. Beautiful woods. sounds great for a lower priced acoustic.
fret work could have been better from factory. but string height and set UP was perfect. I WOULD reccomend this guitar for anyone who wants a great looking acoustic with decent sound quality. you get what you pay for. Overall I am very pleased.

do you like to level frets?

By todd glaspey from colorado on August 15, 2021 Music Background: playing for 35 years

So I've waited for a year for these to be in stock. I order, and receive one. I had expected to have to dial in bridge height, and nut slots; but I did not think that I'd have to level, and polish the frets, as these were unplayable. This fretwork was tragic, absolutely tragic. I understand that this is not an "expensive" guitar, but this was BAD, like really bad. I also figured that the tuners would not be the best, but these are total garbage. the posts through which the strings travel aren't even solid. I'll make this into a nice guitar, but out of the box: it's a terribly disappointing mess.
