First time purchasing from Sweetwater… The geek let Reed shaver is phenomenal. Brings new life to old reads… Sound has never been better. The swabs are worth absolutely every penny would buy those again and again.

Since hearing about the Reedgeek/Geeklet, I tried using a straight bladed knife to do the same thing/ It worked, but the Geeklet is so much better.

I got this for my kids (14 & 12) to try. One plays saxophone the other clarinet and I figured if it worked it would make up its cost in savings on reeds (I can't think of any other product where people are okay with only 4/10 in a box working!)
They tried it and said it improved the reeds they were going to trash into playable reeds and they're going to fiddle around with it a bit more to see if they can make them into good reeds.
We'll be traveling to the UK for 6 months soon, so hopefully the safe for TSA holds true!

I've been playing a long time and have always bought top-end reeds because it never made sense (to me, anyway) to spend thousands of dollars on a horn and then cheap-out on reeds. Because of this, I'd always play every reed, whether it was great or a struggle. Since getting the Geeklet, all of my reeds (about 20 so far for my tenor, alto, and soprano) play nicely just by making a couple strokes on the heel. I haven't tried working on the vamp since I've had good luck just flattening the heel, but that's next. Definitely worth having.

Used this for the first time plus I'm a beginner player and a reed I thought was out of my league or just not right but after a few adjustments it played better then any reed i was using to this point . I thought i was going to end up giving these reeds away but now i just can adjust and play . Will be trying out on my regular reeds next and see if they are even better . What doesn't seem like much actually really changed the ability to play freely .

Quick story. I placed a new reed on my mouthpiece. While playing I sound horrible, even though I have a lot to improve on, but it's the worst I've ever sound. It dawned on me. I didn't prepare my reed. I took the Geeklet to it. I was extremely relieved. There was a vast difference. I then realized I should continue my practice instead of quitting.

This little tool is a game changer. Using it allows reeds to be played longer and be much more vibrant. Highly recommend.

I play the clarinet, Bass clarinet. I used to use a product called reed rush which was as a natural product but the geeklet is 1000% better. Easier to use and should last forever. The results of shaping the reed are incredible.

This is an amazing product! I'm going to save a small fortune on reeds. I'm so tired of paying for reeds and getting two or three I like out of a box of ten. Those days are over! I was able to make several reeds I would've thrown away very playable!

I'm playing saxophone for 50 years. Avoided Reed adjustment all 50 years. As a result of your YOUTUBE's, I bought the geeklet and, to my astonishment, it worked exactly as you pitched it. It took those stuffy reeds that didn't want to vibrate and made them good reeds. Thanks.

There's really anything more to say about this product. It does the job and it's affordable. The handle is absolutely brilliant.

After watching videos about how a few minor adjustments could enhance both the sound of my saxophone and the longevity of my reeds, I was excited. When I looked at the cost of "full-size" reed geeks, I was unsure of value/risk. Then I saw the Reed Geeklet and decided to take the risk. I am so glad that I did! My sound is fuller, and it is easy to use. As always, the followup from Sweetwater has been awesome. Highly recommended!
