Yamaha BR12M 600w monitor
I bought this monitor for my karaoke system I want to do away with the heavy bulky 15 in subwoofers this monitor packs a punch
Nice rich punch.
Purchased a couple for front monitors. Just the right size and not heavy to lug around. The shape allows them to be stacked on a cart along with other stuff for moving. Lots of sound using minimal power amps. Like the fact you can daisy chain them. Was so happy with them that I bought 2 more for sidefills, replacing my not too shabby QSC powered speakers. They are rugged and ready to go to work. Pick up a pair. Price is right and you wont be disappointed.
Great Monitor
These are excellent 'crystal clear' sounding Monitors, my band upgraded from our previous "muffled" (and heavy in weight) 'Kustom' monitors. We are a 4 piece Classic Rock band and will be using 4 of them. These are much lighter in weight too, we play at big and small venues, and these work just fine!
Thanks to Ed Nystrom at Sweetwater, as always, my hero.. because the web site said "not yet in stock", not sure what or how he did it, but mine arrived 2 days after I placed the order, just in time for our gig tomorrow evening.
Good for the money!
I own 4 of these monitors that I use for small rock bands (5-6 piece) and acoustic bands large and small including my own and I think they work great. Sure they're not the best, but I was on a budget. Running 2 per side with an old Crown amp and they put out plenty of volume. Only reason I gave them 4 stars,is because of the outer carpet covering, it attracts stage funk, and is a real pain in the ass to clean. Doesn't effect sound whatsoever, just a personal preference. If you're looking for some good gigging monitors, these should fit the bill. Using a single dbx 31 band eq in signal chain will help tame anything you throw at it. Good value for working musicians.
