nice focused and centered sound but very reistive

Some background, I am not a professionally rained musician, I am however a degreed industria l engineer that has been playing single reeds for over 60 years.
I suffer from an immune condition known as pulmonary sarcoidosis, such that my restricted breathing demands I use small tip openings on my mouthpieces which many 'teachers' frown upon. My go to mouthpiece for bass clarinet is Clark Fobes JO facing with at 2.5 reed, either Legere eurocut or Van Dooren v-12 or V-21.
I auditioned this mouthpiece using both BG and Rovner fabric ligatures. The instrument is a Ridenour Low C model.
Have tried a Hawkins Bb model years ago and experienced the same air flow resistance, but knew of Morrie Backun's attention to detail.
With enough air pressure, this mouthpiece sounds amazing. especially in clarion and altissimo registers. Also, very good articulation response across the entire range down to low C.
Will be reaching out to Backun to discuss ways of making it more free blowing. For now I can use this for smaller ensembles, as primarily I perform in 40 to 65 piece symphonic bands.
