Solid Preformer
We have been using the Shure ULX wireless for about 10 years. I needed another wireless microphone and the budget was tight. I ordered this BLX4 receiver, BLX1 body pack, and PGA31-TQG head worn microphone as a package. Out of the box and ready to go in minutes. It has been dependable, good sound quality(used by our pastor) no interference. Easy to use.
Transmitter Simplicity
This Shure thing is so easy to set up and pair with the receiver and then you can forget about it. Stays connected, no interference, on and off is easy to manage. Perfectly thought out system

SHURE BLX1 BODYPACK TRANSMITTER
Great transmitter, very reliable, and very easy to use.
This little guy can be used for instruments, headset mics, etc...
Very easy to set group and channel and is lightweight.
I also like that it has an easy to find and feel on/off switch with an LED light indicating when it is on. I think they say it's good for 14 hours or so on a set of AA batteries...not sure just yet if that's true.
Only downside is that it does feel like cheap plastic and I always feel like I'm going to break the battery access door every time..which you need to open to get to the group / channel settings.
Some people have complained that it doesn't have a battery life indicator...which would be nice, but not a deal breaker.
