Easy to use
Great plug-in for my DAW , it's easy to use and sounds great
Packed with features
After watching a few demos on this product I had to buy it! For me, the guitar emulation feature "one up's" most stock DAW guitar amp sim plugins.
It's great for extending my creativity with guitar recording.
Great Experience
Recently moved my father in law into my house and his room is directly adjacent to my music room. I needed to come up with a quieter way to practice and still be able to have cool effects. Thus the Bias FX which is great. However, a shout out to Sweetwater who had a tech reach out the very next day (unsolicited) to make sure I was able to get it downloaded and working after I had bought it. That was fantastic. Thank you Sweetwater.
AWESOME TOOL
Let's talk about creativity for a moment. With all of the amplifier and effects pedals at your disposal it's impossible to think that your creativity would not increase tremendously! The visual layout and ease of use are absolutely the best. It's taken me from a HO HUM guitarist to a creative genius without having to spend megabucks on equipment. The ability to expand and upgrade to even more options is a big plus. BOTTOM LINE ---- IT'S THE BEST $... I'VE SPENT !!!
Good!!
Perfect for home studio!
Amazing!
Amazing tool for production!
Great Plugin
Very versatile plugin for many genres and a good community of people making their own sounds. If you want something pure metal I would suggest Nueral DSP stuff- but if you wanna get surfy every once in a while, this ones for you.
P.S. Works great for (a bit noisy) vocals too.
It's the best program ever
Any tone any time
VST
Vst has some quirks (loud noise when first loaded, a bit treble heavier than standalone) but other than that works pretty well
Possibilities are endless
So many settings, take forever to get through. You get full trial of Elite version, but regular version is incredible as is. There are many presets to start with and adjust from there. Excellent for home studio and possibly for live performance.
Sounds amazing; documentation and forum problematic...
I love how this software sounds! It's also easy to adjust most of the parameters. However, there is no user manual and I have had some questions. There are some links to outdated instructions for a previous version of the program. I tried for days to access the user forum. Once I did get in I couldn't post- just got error messages. Still, I love playing through this! Money well-spent despite the problems I just mentioned.
I'm liking it...
I have not had a great deal of time using this plugin but it has been everything I wanted and more... lots of options and user friendly...
It’s great but…
Amazing software now a days. Who would have thought 10 years ago we can choose from amps, mics, cabinets, effects AND a modeling for a guitar you'd like to play...?
So that being said, the quality is great, I use a Mac (a new 13" with the M1 chip). I record with Logic.
As I just jam on a track without recording its great.
The problem has been when recording with it on a track the whole screen/program/recording freezes. I get the apple spinning wheel of death. It won't clear so I can get out of it for a long time.
So there's good and bad news. Maybe.
The bad news is (according to positive grid with an open ticket currently) Bias Fx isn't currently 100% compatible with apples newest Monterey platform OR Windows 11?
The good news maybe is that positive Grid sent me instructions how to delete and rename etc etc. it's a bit confusing to a non technical musician but thumbs up to Posotove Grid for retuning emails and trying to help.
I also own the spark amp which is another wonder for $ I haven't had time to try the instructions they sent but will within a week or so.
...this isn't terrible, but latency is a big issue and I have a beast of a workstation. But, you do get a lot of fun amps to play with; you just have to figure out how to play around the latency
Sounds terrible
Bought the Bias FX2 standard a Focusrite interface and a pair of JBL 306P MKll powered studio monitors.Everything Is loaded and set up to the given specs. For some reason it just sounds bad, I'm positive it's set up correctly but I'm running out of ideas!I may try the Amplitube 5 Max and see if it's a better program !
You'll need a very strong CPU
My PC with i7-3770 and 16GB RAM was unable to deliver acceptable results. Almost every tone was interrupted with crackling sounds and some tones were completely distorted and crashed. Tried everything but nothing helped. That's a shame, I didn't have problems like that with other sims.
Sounds like crap!
Don't waste your money like I did, static sounds and sounds that you dog would run from. One star for us stupid beginners thinking we can rock with this.
biasfx Standard
Not satisficed does not work very well. Would not purchase again.
