Just do it already!
I was thinking about buying a pair of $ dollar headphones. I'm so glad I bought these instead. They work really well, the sound quality is amazing, they're comfortable to wear, and the build quality is what you would expect from a much more expensive pair of headphones. Stop thinking about it and just do it.
bang for buck
they're not the best monitors, obviously, but at $ they are untouchable. for a schmuck like me recording stupid noises through a used k-track studio and my wife's old MacBook to garage band, they're a-okay lol.
Perfection
for the price point, these are incredible. I'd say these sound like 100/150 dollar headphones. The balance between lows, mids and highs is fairly noticeable and the frequency response when running playback is very impressive. They really do your songs justice while recording. These headphones I use for recording only though. Mixing and mastering is a whole other universe for a different pair of cans. You're going to find it a bit more difficult to mix and master properly with these on. It's not impossible, but just a bit more tricky. Highly recommend. When searching for gear, please don't let price point fool you. These are 20 bucks yet act as something superior. That goes with all gear (mics, interfaces, etc)
Great Budget 'Phones
Super, super impressed with these. Excellent bass and fit, sounds awesome with my focusrite scarlett! Worth the $.
awsome
super like it
Decent price headphones
I bought the headphones online and expected to be arrive by Friday according to UPS Tracking No. Wednesday morning, I happened to track the package and it said that I should receive by 7pm. I also received a call and a message from Sweetwater asking if I had received the headphones yet while I was at work. When I got home, the headphones were packed in a nice shipping box. Well, I was excited to test it out. For this decent price, I think it is acceptable. The cups actually cover the ears completely. As for the sound, its audio output was not louder than my other SONY headphones ($20). The SONY headphones are for normal listening so it will leak the sound out. The Behringer outputs more bass tone. The Behringer has a more heavy-duty frame in the design and came with a long-coiled cable, plus extra audio connector. Sweetwater service is excellent.
Great gear
Has these for year first use it as practice phones on my Hammond organ then use them n my studio for mixing for artist they sound great and loud n clean cut coming threw
Fast shipping, good sound quality for the price!
I bought these for my Music Technology & Sound Engineering class, it's great that they're pretty cheap and still have good sound quality! Sound as good as my wired Apple earbuds. It is a little inconvenient that I can't really hear anyone while listening to music, but it's nothing too big. Also, Sweetwater is awesome! Shipping was fast and smooth, and they even gave me some candies! :3
Great
I placed order online, then in the headphones arrived quickly, box packed in great shape, they works really well:) Im happy with product but it was a gift and the person was happier. I'll recommend this site (Sweetwater) to everyone.
Worth it.
I'm not going to start any discussions about about any lack of midrange from a pair of headphones that are easily better than ones that're 8x the price.
Great sound for the money
I'm partial to open back headphones, but needed a closed back set to turn my music up loud without waking my wife. For $, these are pretty incredible. They sound great, especially paired with my FiiO E10K, even at full blast. They also look really great.
great product!
came quickly, in great shape, works really well:) im very happy with my purchase. also customer service rocks!!
So far so good!
I just got them but I'm digging them. I have them hooked up on my keyboard. Love them.
Behringer 47O Headphones.
I use these at home with my Boss guitar amp as I live in an apt. Great Amp great headphones. Can't beat the price!
Awesome for low budgets!
I absolutely love these headphones. These were the first true studio monitoring headphones I bought, and they haven't let me down. For the price, I don't think there is anything that can beat them. The sound is extremely good and clean. They are also extremely durable. They have been put through hell and back for the 2 years I've had them. They have been thrown on the floor, cable pulled WAYY too much, thrown in backpacks and transported all over the place, and much more. And the pads are JUST NOW starting to come apart (see picture), but they are still comfortably wearable and still sound great.
For anybody on a budget or just getting started, THESE are the headphones to get!
Fantastic reference headphones for tracking
I will start with this: They are not flat response. You don't want to use these as your main mixing headphones. That being said, their design is perfect for tracking and referencing your mix with a slight bass boost. They don't bleed sound so you can get right up on that condenser mic without unwanted noise. They are comfortable as hell and they're great for listening to music in general. Excellent clarity despite the bass boost, you should be able to hear all your layers clearly and the nuances of each sound.
10/10, would recommend to anyone looking for comfortable listening headphones, good closed-back headphones for tracking, or a solid set of reference headphones that sound different than your "mixing" set. They also provide a fair bit of sound isolation due to the closed-back design, which makes them great for listening at airports or other noisy places.
excellent after broken in
These are definitely one of the best pairs of headphones you can get for the price. The low ends are a little muddy, but after a couple weeks of use they clear up. they aren't uncomfortable, but they aren't THE most comfortable out here. i can wear them for 6 hours and they won't start to hurt. Overall, If you're on a budget these are definitely one of the pairs you should look at.
Headphones
These are very comfortable and the sound is impeccable, for the price these headphones can't be beat, I'm thinking of ordering another set just to have around, very happy with these! Highly recommend.
Good value headphone option
For the price, good build quality, decent sound and feels durable.
They're not the best, but they're pretty good
...They're not bad. They're comfortable, a bit hot though - I wouldn't want to wear them in the summer. They sound pretty good, but the bass end does a weird squashy thing, like they compress the low end. If I didn't have a choice I would say you could use them for mixing, but you'd better reference the crap out of your mix on whatever you could get. I would give them to performers for sure.
They're well built and I like the coiled/straight cord. It would be nice on other cans. I'd love that in a guitar cable...
They sound good in the high/mid, but the lows suck and mash together.
If you need some cans for players to reference while recording them they're pretty good - low bleed and comfy. However you can pick up some Audio-Technica ATH series cans for a bit over double the price and they are definitely compatible with big boy headphones, so save up your allowance another month and get them, dads.
And yes, I still love Behringer.
the best in the game
2slo4me review:
these headphones are mad comfortable and not too expensive. i can mix and master with these better than any other pair. (i have headphones that are 80 and 300 so thats a very big deal) These are extremely comfortable and go around your ears nicely. They are soft and delicate but rough and tough making these the best. the range of frequencies is nice, i can hear all frequencies nicely.
Easily the best headphones in this price range
Okay so. I've purchased a lot of headphones over the years because I'm interested in seeing how different cans can be in different price ranges. So, I'm no expert, but I have a pretty broad idea of how headphones generally perform in these different ranges. I needed a pair for guests to come over and wear during recording sessions, but my goal was to find some for $30 or less. I looked around for quite a while before stumbling across these, and let me tell ya.
These BH 470 are something else.
Firstly, the sound is exquisite for what they are. I mean, compared to my good cans (ATH-WS110iS), they're nothing special, but that's to be expected. These things can get seriously loud, and the sub range is incredibly pronounced. They're bass heavy in general, but most importantly that SUB is so present. Which is UNHEARD OF for $. Although they're quite mid-heavy and a little muddy, the high end is crispy enough to hear what's happening in any music, and you will get a super impactful punchy-ness from bass and drums.
The design, although plastic-y (which is not a complaint...), is fresh. These things look sweet. Modern and classy. They're unexpectedly flexible and you can fold em up as well.
Comfort? Sheesh man, they are COMFY. They're really lightweight and the earpads are squishy. They feel like a feather resting on your head, and I can comfortably wear them even with glasses (fellow glasses-wearers know this struggle).
The biggest con of these things is that when really quiet audio is playing, you can sometimes detect some self-noise. Like, a quiet fuzz with a really high whine. But I gotta be honest, I don't notice it that often and it just doesn't really bother me since they check every box that matters for my needs.
Long story short, you will not find better headphones for $. Also, DEFINITELY order through Sweetwater. Not only do they have the best price, but there were some shipping difficulties with FedEx that their wonderful sales team helped me sort through.
sweet most def
these are the real deal, clear and crisp, still can't believe the price, sturdy they feel solid and fit comfortably on the ears, nice cushion padding, nice sleek color that says classy I'd buy again , I'm feelin' them yea, i'm wearin' them as I type, head hittin' with the beat. Thank you SW and especially Rameses.
Light weight with great
It has been a while since I've been in a recording studio. One thing I do remember is wearing big clunky headphones. These are very lightweight and comfortable and there is no difference between left or right. I don't plan to use them in a recording studio. Instead, I will using them to listen to my PC, portable CD player and keyboards and other devices. I bought these as a demo, but they look brand new.
Can’t beat these for the price
Bought specifically for late night bass practice when the family is asleep. Great sound and tone. Seriously cannot beat the price.
Behringer Headphones
I LOVE THEM! So Much I've bought 2 more, to give as gifts. I'm wearing a set right NOW!
Very Nice.
Great value. Great for monitor headphones
Can't beat the price.
These are great headphones for the price. I wouldn't call them studio quality, so if you're using them for recording they're not going to be great for mastering tracks. For $ they are a steal.
Outstanding for $
I use these for pretty much everything. For the price I don't think they can be beat. Look, feel, and sound great.
Comfortable to wear
I wanted something other that IEMs for playing with a praise band. I found these on the site and bought them. After 3 weeks, they havent failed me once. I can hear the click/multitraks easily and I can take them off and on faster than IEMs
Not good, but good for the price.
These do not sound great, they're really low midrange heavy and sort of dull sounding. But, they are pretty decently constructed, feel pretty nice to wear, and look good. If you need some headphones for a podcast or just as a monitor for something where accuracy isn't a priority, they will do the job just fine.
Great Bang for the Buck. But Not an option for Critical Listening
So Behringer has come out with a set of "Studio Headphones" for $ so I had to try them out.
Do they sound as good as a $ pair of Senheisers or Sony cans? Not even close! The difference is night and day. If you know what good sound should sound like, these are not the cans for you.
Do they sound as good as a $ pair of Audio Technica cans that are my daily drivers?
Nope. See above.
How about a $ pair of sony bluetooth headphone I bought at the airport when I was in a pinch?
Maybe.
The Sony had a clearer sound with more air in the high end and low end kick. But were uncomfortable to wear for a long time.
The Behringers have a tubby mid range and lack that air in the top end that makes the stereo imaging suffer. But for $ they're very comfortable and they do a good job of shutting out the outside world. I don't hate these at all.
With these, you get what you paid for...
While the sound quality id decent the construction needs a design overhaul, specifically with the ear pads. As soon as they arrived and I tried them on one of the ear pad covers come off and it tool forever to pit back on. Now it has happened again and it's even more difficult to put back on because where it attaches has noe worn to a point where it's darn near impossible to put back on!
They're $. Could've included a quesadilla. Still good.
I could recommend quite a few other headphones out there that're $ more, sound better, and also are far more comfortable but what's the point. You put them on the melon, they put out decent sound. Three stars because who in the everlasting tarnation gives 5 stars to $ headphones unless it's coming with a bomb quesadilla. Include the quesadilla, Behringer, and you got yourself a 5-star rating.
Poorly constructed....
I recently bought a pair of the BH 470 headphones, and I am highly disappointed with them. First of all, I got my hopes up too high thinking that this would be a great deal for such a low price. Remember.... you get what you pay for.
The pad on the R earpiece wS just casually propped up on the apparatus, and it came off exposing a hard plastic base. The way the ear pad was put on is like someone used a putty knife to Tuck it into place. Now, until I find better headphones, I will have use my hand to manually hold the ear pad in place to keep from injuring my ear.
I will DEFINITELY NOT buy this one again.
New headphone
It doesn't sound really good kinda of spacey echo
Sound Good But I Don't Like A Coiled Cord...
These sound really nice but they are a little tight on my head. Be sure you note that this has a nonreplacable coiled cord which makes it only about 4 or 5 feet long in the real world for my applications. I use a small handheld Tascam dr recorder sitting on a small stand in front of me and headphones with a 6 foot straight cord to record and the cord on these Behringer headphones are almost too short/too frustrating to use for my setup when recording acoustic guitar by myself... These are my first impressions so maybe the headphones will grow on me with time..
Ok
It's amazing how they paid more attention to the comfort of these headphones, rather than the actual sound.
Cable not detachable
These headphones are comfortable and sound great. However, the cable is not detachable as advertised. It is also a coiled cable which catches on all the other cables on the mixing board. Very irritating. If it had a detachable cable I would have thrown the coiled cable in trash and replaced with a cable that I could work with.
Sweetwater Rocks!!
Not for mixing, ok for casual listening
Bought these to potentially use for singers to wear for monitoring while recording vocals, and maybe tracking. Really weak high end, and heavy in the low/mid mid frequencies with enhanced bass. Nowhere near flat. Nice for jamming to tunes, but save up for more pro phones for recording.
BH 470
I'm very impressed by how comfortable these headphones are. Unfortunately that's where it stops for me. Sound quality is not good. Very "woofy" and muffled sounding. I had a set of the Sony mdr 7506's and they sounded PERFECT. But for the price you can't really expect these to compare. I would not mix with these. The Sony's? All day long. Sorry Behringer.
Not what I expected based upon the reviews
Unfortunately, these cans are pretty disappointing. I guess I shouldn't have expected much because they are so cheap, but the reviews make these sound better (no pun intended) than they really are. Some reviews did mention muddiness in the bass but I found it to be more unpleasant than expected. I was hopeful that the upper range might be acceptable but, once again, it's quite unexceptional.
The bottom line is this: if your ears are even a bit discerning, spend a few more bucks and get something else. I've heard "better" from cheap headphones bought at Walmart.
On a positive note, Sweetwater ALWAYS provides best-of-class service! THANK YOU SW!!!
Only ok. Not for mixing
The BH 470 are OK for casual youtube listening and work alright for silent guitar practice. The response curve is not at all flat. Boomy and muddled bass is significantly louder than highs which have a huge drop off. Their marketing dept seems to think they are good for mixing. That is not so.
They seem to be pretty well made but time will tell.
My Sweetwater rep helped me quickly and efficiently after my on line order would not process.
Mid-Range Phones
I'm a fan of Behringer products normally, but these headphones are useless and sound like cheap headphones from your grade school and full of mid-range.
