Nice clarinet, but made in China
I bought this clarinet for my 8th grade son, as an upgrade from his student model. He has been playing it now for a couple weeks and seems to like it quite well. The sound is nice, and the overall appearance and quality seem appropriate for this price range.
The main reason I only gave it 3.5 stars is that the clarinet is made in China, not Germany as the description suggests. Had I known this ahead of time, it may have affected my decision to go with this model.
Overall, it seems like a good upgrade and my son is happy. Time will tell if the quality is up to Buffet's standards.
Buffet E 11 clarinet
As always, Sweetwater was very prompt in getting this to me. I love it. I am just a doubler on clarinet when a big band chart calls for the sax section to play clarinet. I had one of these 50 years ago which then passed on down to a daughter and a granddaughter. They have changed somewhat over the years, but still play easily with a nice Buffet sound.
