Behringer Chorus Symphony Chorus and Vibrato Guitar Pedal Reviews

Chorus and Vibrato Guitar Pedal with Footswitchable Modes, Depth, Rate, Intensity, Level, and Output Sensitivity Controls

Chorus lovers, rejoice — the original chorus effect is now available in pedal format! The Behringer Chorus Symphony chorus and vibrato pedal is a re-creation — not an emulation — of a famous solid-state amp’s lush chorus effect. Enclosed in a durable metal enclosure with retro styling lies the quintessential preamp circuit and warbly sounds you and other tone chasers have come to know and love. Switch the Chorus Symphony to Vibrato mode to unlock those classic spacey sounds that were once only achievable from the mammoth-size amp that has been used by countless artists, including Joe Satriani, Andy Summers, John Frusciante, and many more. Use the Chorus Symphony in stereo with two amps to further expand your tone to even wider lengths. Choose between true bypass or buffered output via an internal DIP switch and select your desired amount of headroom with the High/Low switch — Sweetwater guitarists love the High setting for driving their signal harder and causing natural distortion breakup. Whether you place this in your effects chain as a subtle addition to your rig or in front of it to excite your sound, the Behringer Chorus Symphony is a solid choice.

Angels sing!

By Bonachita from California
Music Background: Pedal nerd & guitarist since 1984

I pre-ordered when it was first available, so I've had it awhile now. The fit and finish are like the OG version. It does the thing, and it does it well. Vibrato set slow pretty sweet as well.

Sounds Great On Budget!

By David P. from MASSILLON, OH
Music Background: Professional Pedal Aficionado

The first thing to understand is if you will use the preamp as an always on or off feature. Take off the back plate. There is an internal switch that takes it to "true bypass" which takes the preamp out completely. So you can use chorus/vibrato as selected. The "buffer" side of the switch will leave the preamp always on. Then you can use chorus/vibrato as selected.

My recommendation is switch to "buffer" mode and preamp in low mode volume fully maxed. Chorus at 1 o'clock and vibrato depends on speed desired.

Sounds great to me. I've owned PastFx, JFX, Warm Audio and Triungulo Lab. It does the thing for the JF tone.

Try one to find out!!

You get what you pay for

By Jim from NC
Music Background: Pro, touring, 50+ years exp

I was hoping this would sound similar to my long gone old CE-1, but it doesn't. With that said, for the price it's not too bad. My only complaints are the input level is tough to get just right without distortion, and it's a bit noisy on non clean OD sounds.

cool pedal

By lazoo from Sebastopol, CA

using it for synths and it works well and sounds great.

a couple of things...

stereo in's would have been nice, but if you use it in an fx loop with a mono send and stereo returns, it works well.

why the minus star?... no power supply, and as noted in a few yt review vids, it tends to distort before unity gain is achieved with the level control... so running it clean with no distortion, when you bypass the pedal the volume goes up a few db... and when you engage the pedal the volume drops a few db.

it does sound good tho... and as i'm using it in my synth mixer's fx loop, it is workable with the right gain structure.
