Great for the price!
Nice clarity for a studio setup
Amazing value, solid drum kit mic bundle
Well, my drum kit mics took off in our truck to another city and I needed some decent mics, cheap and quick for several pickup shows. The Behringer BC1200 fulfilled that need in spades. They eq easily and are mostly plug and play. Plenty hot and very little clip or distortion. A clean, punchy, and natural sound from all the mics in this bundle. But, the star is the kick drum mic. It has a clean quiet sound that reminded me of a popular large diaphragm mic which costs nearly 4 times this bundle does. All in all, the BC1200 bundle is a fantastic deal. From beginner to road-worn pro, kinda like me, you will be able to use these mics with ease right out of the box.
Insane value for home/practice/rehearsal rig
I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered these, especially at this price point, but I am very impressed now that I have them set up and have spent some time with them. They sound great, and the included rim-mounting clips are solid, easy to use, and include a cable stress relief clip.
The bodies of the mics are plastic, and all of the mics, including the kick mic, are small and lightweight. I would not want to use these out gigging, as I don't think they would hold up to the abuse, and the sound quality, while really quite good, probably wouldn't hold up in anything more than the most basic home studio, but for practice, rehearsal, and recording a quick demo, these are perfect.
10/10, highly recommend! Just buy them!
Great mic's!
These things are hidden gems! I hooked them up and they work just as good as my more expensive Shure mic's! I'm sticking with these as long as they hold up!
Inexpensive drum mics
These are inexpensive but work great. Takes some EQ'ing know how to get the drums sounding right but these mics will deliver. There's more expensive out there but these work well for people on a budget or people just wanting decent mics at a great price. I think Behringer makes an upgrade from this kit but these came out first and I bought them and haven't looked back. These will deliver for you!!
The best Mics
These mic is the best around. Sweetwater is the best they made sure I received my order on time. Thanks sweetwater!!
Behringer 7pc drum mic bundle
Love the compactness of all the mics and the hard case with all the Tom mounts included was a huge bonus. Already took them to a rehearsal and mic'd up the kit with 4 mics and one overhead and used the other 2 on the guitar cabs. Can't beat the price and the mics sounded great on everything with just a basic eq on my zoom l-20 board.
Great value
Great for a beginner or home recording
I'm impressed
You wouldn't expect a mic set at this price to sound so good. The case will not take a much of a beating, but the the sound quality of these mics are well beyond my expectations. Good buy.
Wow
I'll start of by saying the 5/5 rating is because of the price. I'm blown away by the sound quality for a $ set of mics.
Condenser overheads bring out a nice crispy sound that my previous mics could not and I can hear everything. I use a soundcraft multitrack mixer and when muting individual drum mics on playback the clarity of the overheads is a lot more than what I expected.
Kick mic has a great punch but doesn't lose the tone. Snare pops how I want and the toms are warm and full. The raw sound is great and if you use a capable EQ in post then you can get fantastic sound.
Overall a great purchase and very happy so far.
Really good
I try the Cm on cymbals and overheard and they sounded really good.
Great Microphones
I bought these t record in my small home studio. They have exceeded my expectations. Great mics for the price, if you ask me. They are a great set that sound crisp, they are sensitive enough to pick up all the nuances of my cymbals and the bass mic sounds amazing IMO. It's a great investment for the money
Nice Mics!
Nice Mics! Price is great too!
Way Better Than Expected
Bought tgese onsale when they were first came out just to have a few backup mics. I got to use them shortly after at a gig where I had to run through multiple bands in a tight space with 3 drumkits. I had enough inputs to mic up all of them at once, so I did. These mics didn't let me down!! They were worth the $$$ just for that show. My usual is a beta 52 on kick and e604s around the rest of the kit. These clip on just like 604s. If these had another band name on them, they would be $ more.. grab dome
Amazing
I no longer need to buy audix mics , i get amazing quality
Really solid sound for the price
We bought this set as a low budget way of getting a decent drum mix during our practice. Really clear sound coming from them. I couldn't ask for more from this price point.
Drum mic kit
Best sound for just starting out
Great budget drum Mics!
I would not hesitate to recommend these for any drummer or sound engineering on a low budget. They come with a great carrying case as well.
Great mic set for anyone looking to record drum tracks
Getting a good recording of an acoustic drum kit is difficult enough. Having good microphones is a start, and this kit is super affordable making it a good microphone kit to start with. As you get more microphones. You can pick and choose which microphones sound best and create quality recordings with this affordable microphone kit.
Meh
These reviewed well so I bought them with high hopes. Yeah, not so great. They sound ok for live sound (with lots of EQ) but, for recording they are not going to give you what you want. Not even close. We sent some tracks to our sound guy to mix and and process. He refused to even try and just said start over with better mics.
That said, if you're looking for some budget mics for live sound only, these may work for you to some degree. Otherwise you will likely be buying mics twice.
Get Out The Duct Tape
Here's a simple review: OK microphones. Terrible drum mounts. These hard plastic inflexible clips don't actually clip to my drums (Yamaha Stage Custom). In trying to "persuade" one I broke one half of the clip.
