Hardly ever off of my pedalboard
What a beautiful sound! Warm. Full. Rich. Whether I'm pushing the gain hard or pulling it back some, I have not found a sound on this pedal that I don't like. Even though I usually order things from highest gain to lowest, I typically place the BB Preamp before something that has a bit more kick, like a JHS AT+, but it also works very well in the reverse. (Just try stuff!) Also, the BB Preamp works fine on its own without stacking it with any other drive pedals. This is often my go-to pedal for crunchy rhythm, but it is stellar for a sweet lead tone that just sings without blowing people's hair off.
Cream and Sugar
I've only had this for a few hours but so far, I'm super stoked! I've had numerous ODs but this one is by far the most transparent, creamiest and sweetest tones I've ever gotten out of a stompbox. There's no question as to why this has been a staple for so many guitarist.
Very nice OD pedal and would recommend it to anyone. I'd also like to say that Sweetwater is my GOTO for gear. Customer service is the best hands down.
Tried and true classic
This thing will give you tube screamer sounds with the treble and bass backed off a bit, and it can give you full-blown MIAB style tones with the gain and treble goosed up. Very versatile overdrive. This is a tried and true classic that is still a staple on many pedalboards today for a reason.

Is was never happy with my Vox AC15. It lacked punch. Then I plugged in the BB preamp pedal. Wow!!!! What a difference. It brought the Vox to life. I love the amp now with the BB pedal. It sounds great!!! Real Rock n' Roll.Try it out.
Xotic BB pedal love it
Really amazing pedal for clean boost or killer bluesy overdrive. Teamed up with my tube screamer it's what I've been seeking for a long time. If you haven't tried one out give it a go it's the real deal.

I've used a number of effects pedals during my musical career, and I believe the xotic BB preamp pedal is the best on the market. You can use it as a clean boost or all the way up to pretty intense overdrive, it gets my 100%
