Works perfectly for my portable studio stores all our sessions without filling up the internal storage on the MacBook pro M1.

This is my second Glyph 8.TB in the studio. These are rock solid and dependable. The packaging is awesome and shows how much the company reveres its product. The Mr. Floyd and the team at Sweetwater was super helpful and got the unit in my hands very quickly.

Sweetwater and Apple are my two favorite companies because they actually offer phone support with knowledgeable people on the other end. The technology and issues that come up are impossible to deal with when you can't share a screen with someone and let them help you out of some production issues. These gentlemen and ladies, know their stuff.

Try getting anyone from Xfinity or Motorola on the line to help ...they don't offer phone help. So, they and their BOTS send out an endless stream of articles that don't come close to helping you when you're in tight spot on a production process.... avoid those companies, they are not your friend.

Sweetwater, on the other hand is one of my go-to companies..... Keep up the good work, Sweetwater. Some places just "rock", but Sweetwater "rocks AND rolls"!

I have bought their prducts for about 15 years, very reliable and well built

I have a couple of this and they are built very well.

It was fairly easy to setup, it feels well made, and only makes about as much noise as my laptop when being heavily used, I recently purchased Native Instruments Komplete 12, it took about 90+ hours to download, which in my opinion is an excellent stress test. It performed flawlessly and everything was downloaded.

As advertised, and as seen, the Blackboxes (I now have 5) are "ruggedly" attractive, especially on a functional basis. Hookups are simple and info flows into it quickly. Stored, they stack, the rubber
casing keeping them stable, slip free. The active green light indicates the unit is active. Shutdown is quick. They are handy. Purchase was facilitated by the "3 quick payments." Experience has been
gratifying.

I'm a traveller. At my home studio I use a MacBook Pro, LaCie 6big 24TB partitioned 3 ways for Pro Tools / Final Cut Pro / and Plugins. I have terabytes of plugins ... ie, a LOT which I use with NI Midi Controller. Prior to owning this Black Box, when going through airport security, I've had as much as 6-8 external drives to check through (sigh). NOW ... with this Glyph 8TB it's much simpler. This product is great with 7200rpm for my needs. Gotta tell ya...it's FAST...and definitely 'rugged' as advertised. I do travel with the smaller NI S-model midi controller, and it is so NICE having access to my tons of plugins, etc to keep my workflow going. Finally, it's speedy transferring files when I return home from travels. I highly recommend this!
