High-mass Zinc Alloy Replacement Bridge for 5-screw Bass Bridges - Chrome

Conceived as a drop-in replacement for 5-screw Fender-style bass bridges, Leo Quan Badass II bridges have garnered such universal acclaim in the bass guitar world that they’re now standard-issue hardware on scores of models. What sets the Badass II apart from your typical 4-string bridge? Sweetwater’s bass gurus find that the greater mass of its zinc alloy bridge plate results in a significant sustain boost, with a sharper attack and exceptional definition. Moreover, each saddle sports a set of deep grooves that allow you to experiment and fine-tune your string spacing to taste. Bolster your instrument’s tone, stability, and sustain with a Badass II bridge from Leo Quan!

New LIfe for an Old P-Bass

By Dennis from Arkansas
Music Background: Hobby and semi-pro bassist for 50-plus years

I needed to replace the neck on my 1993 Fender P Bass-Plus, so I put the Fender Precision Bass to Jazz Bass Conversion Neck on. (Sweetwater Item ID: 0990303921) The fine tuning features (which I never used anyway) on the original bridge interfered with getting the set up I like, and I've always wanted to test drive a Leo Quan bridge, so I pulled the trigger on the Leo Quan Badass II 4-String High-mass Bass Bridge. I LOVE this bridge! Sustain is outstanding! I can now use right hand muting techniques closer to and even on top of the bridge which suit my playing style much better. Installation is easy, especially if you have a five hole bridge mounting set up. Mine is a three hole, but the center hole lined up, so drilling four more holes was a simple procedure. Channels on the bridge saddles allow lining the strings up for proper spacing. This feature allowed more precise string adjustments; an important factor for blending my Precision body to my Jazz neck. I am now looking for excuses to put Leo Quan Badass bridges on my other basses. In my opinion, don't flinch at the price. The playing satisfaction more than justifies the investment.
