BAX EQ for Your DAW
Dangerous Music's BAX EQ plug-in is a meticulous model of the Dangerous Music BAX mastering EQ - which in turn is based on the classic Baxandall tone control circuit used in countless hi-fi systems since the 1950s. With the addition of highpass and lowpass filters, the BAX EQ plug-in is a wonderful tool for recording, mixing, and mastering. The simple design minimizes phase delay for silky-smooth, gorgeously clean and natural sound, and you'll find that its broad tonal control always keeps your source's sonic essence intact. You simply can't make BAX EQ sound bad. If you've never used a BAX before, take it from Sweetwater - you're in for a treat.

In audio, sometimes it's best to take a measured approach instead of charging in with the cavalry. That's why broad, gentle Baxandall shelving curves are standard equipment for all top mastering engineers. When you're tracking, you may want to add just a hint of shimmer to a lead vocal (you know - that guide track that turns out to be the one). Get surgical and over-EQ it, and by the time all the overdubs are on and you're mixing, you may find you've ruined a great performance. Dangerous Music's BAX EQ plug-in is also wonderful strapped across the stereo bus for, say, tightening the low end while adding air to the top. In mastering, punch up your mix and add sheen - while maintaining accurate phase. We could go on, you get the point: there's no end to the usefulness of Dangerous Music's BAX EQ plug-in.
