I bought the Gibson Gene Simmons G2 Thunderbird bass a few weeks ago.I've wanted a Gibson bass for years .Saw this bass on the Sweetwater web site.I knew it would be a great rock bass,but this bass has tones and sustain that I just didn't quite get out of my Warwick or Fender basses.Those basses great sounding.But the G2 is a tone monster ,it's great for rock and medal ,but it is a great for all types of music.Before I bought the bass the guys at Sweetwater told me that much of this bass is hand made and the finish on the paint not a perfect as some others brands,which is true. I think it gives the bass more character.If you want a bass that is super fun to play and sounds incredible then this is the one that has the it factor.Killer bass ,worth every penny!

Beautiful guitar. The neck is a breeze to traverse; no sticky, poly drag. Something about it demands it be worn low and loud...! The Hipshot bridge and tuners are just solid! I added the Hipshot Drop-D tuner and working with Oscar at Hipshot was as easy as you could want!
Overall, a superior instrument from a superior manufacturer and through a superior dealer...as always.
