I was finding it difficult to get a good solid low thump out of my 18" kick...until I triedI wasiiiiiq;WMD I was having some difficulty getting a nice solid thump out of my Sonor 18" kick...until I put on this 18" coated G1 as a resonant head. Wow...I was blown away. A two ply head was too dead and boxy sounding on this drum, a single ply was better but a little too boomy, and when I installed this Evans single ply Coated head..(no port)...that lovely magic and elusive sound arrived.
