Great piece of gear
I've been a user of IK media equipment and software for years and the Axe solo is as good as it gets. Latency is low, audio quality is excellent and it's handling active bass pickups way better than other budget interfaces do.
Also a very versatile unit for bass guitar!
With the flexibility of the Z-Tone control, along with the Jfet/pure and the active/passive switches, I can dial in a great tone on whatever bass I choose... for any style of music! The unit is dead quiet and works perfectly with my DAW software on my Mac.

Excellent product.
I love this hardware it was easy to setup and the software included with it was an awesome bonus. I don't even use my amp now I just use amplitube with all the different amp and cabinet models and run the output to external speakers for a really high quality sound. I'm extremely pleased with this product and the service at Sweetwater.
IK Multimedia Axe I/O Solo
I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I came from a focusrite Scarlett solo, and I love the additional tone shaping flexibility the unit offers, and the sound quality is top-notch. The included software is a great perk too.
If you're looking for an inexpensive interface to record primarily guitar with, the Solo is a clear winner.
USB Driver Doesn't Support USB 3.0 Ports
I purchased this product as a mobile interface for mixing/mastering, but to my surprise the Axe I/O Solo USB driver does not allow connection through a USB 3.0 port. If you have a laptop with only USB 3.0 ports, this is not the interface for you. I contacted IK Multimedia via email, but I never received a response. Also, I have to max out the headphone volume to get to mastering levels. I should have looked elsewhere.
