Lynx certainly doesn't need my endorsement for their product, but lacking other reviews, maybe some additional information could be helpful here.
The goal was to find out what 'good' audio sounded like, so I ordered my first Lynx almost immediately after learning Bernie Becker used that interface to 'master' Neil Diamond. Since purchasing a Hilo, I added the Aurora (n) for multichannel mixing, alternately with a rack of RND 511's, RND 5059 Satellite, into RNHP, AKG 701k and it sounded professional to me. I've used Lynx on both PC and Mac, with exceptional audio and clocking result.
Sometimes it's not what you hear, but what you don't, that can make for 'faithful' audio reproduction and yes, I think 'transparent' is adequate to describe the Lynx sound. While the interface does sound accurate, the product is also dependable and has capable technical support.
I've learned that hearing good audio can be worth saving for and Lynx has proved that to be true.
