PreSonus AudioBox 96 Studio Hardware and Software Recording Bundle - 25th Anniversary Edition Reviews

Let me start by saying that this is my first experience with DAW software, plug-ins, etc. I have messed around with digital multi-track recorders and had really great results out of those systems so I thought, for the price, hey, give it a whirl.
Setup was easy but you do have to have an internet connection to download the software. Now let me also add that, since this is new to me and like a trial run to see if I'm going to be able to get the hang of it, I just installed it on a cheap computer and well, latency is an issue but it's not the software, its my computer. I suggest you have a very good sound card as most of you already probably know(I'm an old fart, bear with me.). Recording through my ME-80 Multi Effects has been the way to go for me on recording my guitar tracks because for one, it also works as a DAW controller and for 2, it's what I know the best. The software has some awesome amp packs and effects packages, one-touch settings capability, great EQ's, Compressors, Guitar Pedal board, it's pack with a lot of great beginner stuff. As for me being a blues, country, and southern rock musician, a lot of the loop track were not of much use to me because they are geared more for club and hip hop style music and a lot of Middle eastern style loops and sounds that actually sound very cool when used in the right songs. As i get deeper into this program, I have decided that I will be upgrading to a MAC and also upgrading to the pro version of this software. Awesome over all.

I have never set up a home studio until now. The interface is effortless and does a beautiful job of integrating the in and out of audio with my PC. I haven't recorded much yet, but it handles that well enough so far. Microphone is light weight but acceptable. Headphones acceptable as well, but I will surely upgrade them to something more solid. This set is a tremendously good value.

I was extremely excited about this bundle, What a treat. This will be a Christmas gift for our son in law. I am sure that his eyes will light up on Christmas morning. He was showing me the Presonus interface on their website and expressed a desire to own one some day. Then, when I checked out the Sweetwater web site and spotted the bundle, I immediately contacted my sales expert Mason and reviewed it with him. I am very pleased with both Mason and Sweetwater and yes, I will use the "Sweet Deal" cliche to describe how I felt about this bundle. It is too good to be true, what a deal! I am sure that Grant will use this for his basement recording studio. Amazing!!!!

I wanted to get something that has everything needed to start recording. After talking to several friends I decided to try the AudioBox Studio Package. First of all this thing is really well built. The knobs don't wiggle, and it's got a nice hefty weight. The microphone sounds nice and warm and headphones have plenty of volume. Probably the most impressive part is the software. I have been using Garageband for years and I must say that Studio One is a huge improvement not only because of the plug ins but also there are a ton of great loops that come with it. All in all, I really can't say I wish for anything else. This works great and is a step up from my old focusrite gen1 scarlett.

Love it! It was easy to set up and does exactly what I wanted it to. I use it for ukulele zoom sessions, I lead a ukulele group. I also use if for my online open mics that I do 2-3 times a month, and I just started using it for JazKazam-live music sessions. I am vey pleased.

The PreSonus AudioBox 96 Studio recording bundle is an excellent choice for a singer/song writer to experiment and to develop their personal projects in their own home recording studio environment. The Artist software offers a scaled down, but fully functional software version of all of the essential tools provided in the Professional version It is also a good training aide for someone who aspires to someday work in a professional studio environment.
It is a well designed package that delivers a level of performance that belies its bargain basement price.
The compact USB powered interface is simple to install and samples at a rate that provides CD sound quality which is adequate for most podcast or demo projects. The microphone and headphones are likewise of reasonable quality and are adequate for most purposes. Overall this package is a great value for the price.
