Seagull Guitars Artist Tuxedo EQ Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Black Reviews
With its piano-black gloss finish and white body trim, the Artist Tuxedo Black Anthem EQ could be considered the gentleman of the Seagull Artist series. This comfortable acoustic-electric fuses premium tonewoods with innovative construction methods to bring you a great-playing guitar for the stage and studio. The Artist Tuxedo Black Anthem EQ’s solid spruce top is mated with solid mahogany back and sides to provide a full, balanced response, a high dynamic range, and bold acoustic output for playing unplugged at home. Unlike other models in the series, the Artist Tuxedo Black Anthem EQ sports a hybrid 1.72" TUSQ nut atop a glassy, Richlite-clad silver leaf maple neck, providing a comfortable transition from stage electrics to Jumbo acoustics. Onboard LR Baggs Anthem electronics deliver rich acoustic tone directly into a stage PA or interface for low-impact gigging and performing. Take it from acoustic players at Sweetwater: if you’re looking for stage presence, the Seagull Artist Tuxedo Black Anthem EQ has tone and charisma to spare.

Great Guitar, especially for the price
Plays beautifully, especially for fingerstyle. It has some details I'd expect to see in a more expensive guitar.
Tuxedo Artist
I'll start by saying that you can't go wrong with a Seagull. People seemed to be turned off by their odd shaped headstocks but they are well crafted and they play and sound great. I already had a Seagull Mini Jumbo Performer that I love but when I saw this Tuxedo Artist it really grabbed my attention. I was informed by the seller that it wouldn't have as much bottom end as the Mini Jumbo but he was wrong. This guitar sounds great. It's actually a bit boomier than the MJ. Although it is a full size guitar it almost feels like you're playing a parlor sized guitar and the neck is very player friendly. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because I do believe it is a bit overpriced.
