This setup is easier to install than some aftermarket acoustic pickups. I added this to a smaller tenor guitar with limited space for the mic on the inside of the top. The mic is mounted on the inside of the back facing the bridge plate and works well. Some people may find that outboard EQ is still desired.

This is a phenomenal no nonsense mic with superior tone and sound. I like this 100x more than the more expensive SL. The cross over between the pickup. mic makes it so that the mic is always in phase and so that feedback is minimal. The output is stronger than the other SL. Batter life is longer. The control panel is smaller and less likely to drop off. I've used this for years for countless tour dates and it's my favorite!

I did a good bit of research before deciding to go with the LR Baggs Anthem SL-C pickup designed for classical guitars. I have a Taylor Academy 12n six string nylon and wanted to preserve the warm and rich tones of the guitar as much as possible. This pickup did not disappoint, in fact the amplified sound is even more realistic than I had expected. Through an amp without any effects added, it sounds exactly like my guitar, only louder. It also has excellent feedback resistance, I tried in the music store on several amps and until I dialed the gain up very high on the amp, I could not get any feedback whatsoever, even when holding the guitar with the sound hole projecting toward the amps speaker. I also have a Taylor Academy 12e steel string with Taylor's factory pickup and on that guitar I had to install a feedback buster cover in the sound hole because that guitar feeds back very easily even when not projecting toward an amp. This LR Baggs company must have some real magic going on inside this tiny pickup to do such a good job preventing feedback. The volume control is small and sits discreetly just on the inner rim of the sound hole making adjustments a quick touch away when playing. I highly recommend this pickup!

I play in a Bossa Nova band and needed my Holtier guitar to be louder. I had this pickup installed by a local luthier and have been using it through a Ernie Ball MVP volume pedal > Boss Tuner > Boss reverb pedal > Behringer Acoustic Guitar Pedal to the PA. Very natural. No feedback at stage volume. It doesn't change the natural sound of my guitar when it's not amplified. A great solution.

I use these on several of my crossover nylon stringed instruments. I've included a link to a YouTube video that demonstrates what this unit is all about, Pablo Gadda (see link below) blows it up. This is a pure sounding pickup and LR Baggs stands behind their equipment, One of these went bad and they are fixing it for a nominal amount, was out of warranty by about 10 years. Can't go wrong with this unit
