Seymour Duncan Antiquity '55 Bridge Tele Single Coli Pickup - Aged Black Reviews

Single-coil Tele Bridge Pickup with Aged Components

Seymour Duncan's Antiquity Tele '55 single-coil bridge pickup is an incredibly authentic re-creation of the iconic pickups found in the original Teles from the 1950s. The Antiquity Tele '55s are constructed from period-correct materials such as hand-ground alnico 2 magnets and push-back cloth wire, while adding raised D and G-string poles for enhanced string balance. These all come together, imbuing the pickup with the bright and twangy sound you love with a touch more edge. Pair the Antiquity Tele '55 neck and bridge pickups from Sweetwater and your Tele will sound like a vintage treasure.

Lovin' It!

By mark a gooch from OH on August 30, 2020 Music Background: starving :)

I've had this pickup for a week now. In a word, Impressive! It has a well balanced voice across all 6 strings and the raised poles really help on my tele, as it is a vintage 7.25 radius neck. It is articulate and sounds great clean or pushed. Once I installed this pickup the 60 cycle hum was greatly reduced as well. Bonus points on that!

Good pup....really is!

I can not find enough positives to say about this pickup. Building a 50's Esquire replica, and was looking for that period's sound. Found it! Thank You Seymore.

Great pickup!!!

By Brian from IL on October 22, 2018

Bought this pickup for a MJT parts Esquire and couldn't be happier. I was worried the A2 magnets would be to polite but I was very wrong. Great attack and clarity from this pickup. It is very slightly microphonic in a good way giving notes a bit more bite and harmonics.

Best 50s sounding Tele pickup

By JT from TEXAS on January 2, 2018

I have to say I have tried several pickups over the years from stock pickups that have sounded good to high end custom shop pickups that have also sounded good in my Tele, but I never found one that just nailed every 50s sound in my head until now. It just has that magical combination of pure twang, rockabilly and warms up really nice when you role the tone down on the guitar. This one is actually in a Tele that I converted to an Esquire with a custom 3 way switch and it is just amazing!! I sat on the fence for a few weeks trying to figure out the right pickup for me (YouTube and other clips never really give any pickup justice in my opinion) but let me tell you from one picky guy (Jason and Brett can tell you I research a lot and ask tons of questions - they are great for patiently helping me) these are the pickup you need if you want true 50s sound on a reasonable budget!! You will not regret it!!

Right at home in my '55 Esquire!
