Works great in my Mackie Thump 12. It doesn't quite go as low as the original, but I dont need it for monitors. I'll definitely buy more as my other drivers need replacing.

I have been using various Eminence speakers in my Guitar, Bass, and PA cabs. I chose the Alpha 12A as a replacement speaker for the Behringer B212XL cabinets. Side by side with the original, you can hear a difference. The Eminence Alpha has an overall fuller tone, deeper bass, and more output (louder). This speaker is an excellent choice for smaller, lower volume PA speakers.

The only reason I gave these a 4.5 out of 5 is because I wanted to adequately rate the speakers and the customer service. Their customer service is an absolute 5 out of 5 stars! Just a few minutes after I ordered Brian called me asking if I ordered everything I needed as well as making sure any of my questions were answered, I asked him a few technical questions about incorporating different things along with the speakers to my system and he was able to answer them clearly and I was very happy with that. Just a week or so after I received my speakers he called me again making sure that I got them okay and that everything worked the way they should and that I was happy. I have never had a store go to that extent to ensure that the customer was happy so just know when you buy from here your also buying great customer service! As for the speakers, I would rate them a 3.5/4 out of 5 stars in terms of sound and a 4.5 out of 5 on quality. They pack a lot of mid in the sound and paired with a good horn or tweeter the highs really get brought out. The bass response (in my opinion) is very good for a 12" PA speaker, I have heard 15" woofers that do not bring as tight of a bass response as these do. With that said they are not subwoofers so do not expect bone rattling bass response, but they really give a nice bunch to the bass if you are using these without subs. I paired these with an 18" Harbinger sub and a it was a great blend a very good sound. They also sound pretty great at a very loud volume, typically speakers this size only sound good up to about 75% volume (in my experience) but these sound great all the way up to 100% volume and only start to loose some clarity at around 85%/90% volume. They are no JBL speakers, but I would compare these to a good set of Harbinger/Behringer/Peavy set of speakers at a fraction of the cost. Great speakers and great value. Best bang for your buck if you are looking for an inexpensive, good quality, set of PA speakers to add to your rig or replace the speakers you have currently. Will definitely be ordering from here again in the future!
