Bought this Air15s during COVID to pair with my aging (9 year old) Behringer 215D tops. I've worked with subs long ago and know how it fills out the soundstage but this thing instantly changed how I've been hearing my PA setup in my rehearsal space (vdrums and listening to Spotify). An absolute "I can't believe I didn't buy this years ago" feeling.
Got a GREAT sale price from Sweetwater when Presonus was trying to move products during the sheltering in place.
I played all the usuals including EV, JBL, Turbosound and QSC at the local music store. This Presonus hits hard and is tight/accurate (for a 15") and features a simple to use led control panel that quickly matched the crossover point for my cheap Behringers. Very easy to use.
Like others have stated, I've run this thing for hours at a medium level and the radiant fins on the back are cool as a cucumber.
Try searching Google for reviews and videos on this sub- good luck. Nowhere near the amount of info you can get on all the other brands. So I admit buying this sound unheard was a leap of faith and it turns out totally worth it. Clearly Presonus isn't spending the marketing dollars and promoting these through the retailers like the other brands. But it's also been rough on pro audio vendors I bet without having tradeshows to attend and large event venues buying these things 8-10 in a bunch. (Thanks pandemic)
It's well-packaged by Presonus with the casters in a separate box with their bolts. The build quality on this sub (without having removed the grille and pulling the speaker) appears solid and you'd think commands a $$$$ price. Honestly folks.
This has convinced me to now consider buying Air12 tops to retire my Behringers to become floor monitors…
Presonus AIR15S
Great sounding subs, nice punch and plenty of headroom. Mixed a small hip-hop Christian group and both the lead singer and DJ were impressed by these speakers.I paired these with the Presonus AIR12 for tops and the overall mix was outstanding. All the speakers, plus mic stands, mic stands, XLR and mic package fit in my small small car with room to spare.
PreSonus has another hit!
As a sound guy by nature, and a performing bassist / vocalist in a couple projects, the time came to invest in a sub. Having looked at several, comparing the specs and pricing, along with a little help from my sales engineer , Chris, it came down to the AIR15s. Best feature is the footprint, being narrow and tall, rather than short and wide. It does come with casters, very nice ones in fact, but I have not needed them. The weight is quite manageable. It is well built and east to use, The output is nice and clean, with a good punch when set up correctly. It gets put through it's paces frequently, and I don't worry about it being overworked. To this day I'm impressed at how little heat actually builds up during a night of hard rock and metal, or when I put serious bass through it with dance music as a DJ. I keep hearing nothing but praise form my fellow performers and we will be looking at a second one when the time is right.
Home use
Great sub use it for home playback keeps up with my e715 cerwinvega tops which have a qsc 1850 amp on them at 600 rms power to them very happy one more would be killer very happy
Sub for any occasion
After the research, I purchased this to augment my PA mostly for rock band use. It has all the features and more I could ask for, reasonably low weight, compact footprint, rugged construction, good looks, ease of operation and great sound.
Just take note it does have the M20 mount, but requires the Presonus pole which is slightly narrower at the base than other offerings, but does have a deeper thread.
Fire this thing up, make some adjustments on the back panel control, and this thing will run all night without fail, even at more than reasonable levels.

I Love my 2 PreSonus AIR15’s and 1 AIR15S Sub. I did my first gig with them last weekend and they really sound great. They were crisp and clear and the sub had a lot of punch. I would highly recommend them. I was using a PreSonus RM32AI as a mixer and sound guy used iPad to mix the show. We use EIM for monitors. Sounds great.

18inch SUB Review
I bought the air 12 (x2) and only bought one of these to accompany them. I wish i had bought two of these due to the fact that i have speakers on separate stands and this sub sits on the floor alone where as if I had two to match the tops they could be connected with a single rod stand. Performance wise, they sound great. I play guitar through my Hot Rod Deluxe and use the sub mainly for lows on backing tracks. I also DJ and the dance crowd enjoys the extra bass. I recommend honestly to get one for each top if you can afford. If you cannot, don't worry it will provide plenty of bass to make your sound full.
